[In the wake of the most recent mission, you'll find a disheartening sight if you enter the hangar.  The HK-1138' Corona lies in a crumpled, ruined heap off in a side designated for unsalvagable wrecks, the entire machine nearly split in twain height-wise, a huge chunk of it just fucking gone.  Those parts from before?  Yeah, phoney.  All of them.  Danconias-Phillips imitation parts and completely incompatible.  You didn't actually think they'd HELP Julia, did you?]

Come on... move... move!

[And elsewhere in the hangar, Julia has been trying as hard as she can to use other machines.  Knightmare Frames.  Mobile Suits.  Everything and anything that currently isn't claimed by someone else just so no stone was unturned.  But it's all for naught.  Her hands fly wildly and clumsily at the controls.  It takes all of her willpower and focus to just a machine to stumble awkwardly forward, and all too often her machine stumbles and falls.  And finally after one failure too many...

[Well, everyone has a breaking point and Julia's just hit hers.]

I can't...

I can't pilot anymore...

[Those of you walking around the ship today may be treated to a rather strange sight. You run across Samus in one corridor as she walks towards somewhere. Now, the bounty hunter has become a somewhat usual sight, in all her hugeness and attention-calling blue Zero Suit - but there's something odd about her today.

Namely, the fact she apears to have acquired a shoulder cat.

It's really kind of weird, seeing the serious, hardened Chozo warrior carrying around a cute kitty. Her big frame means Vlaska has plenty of room to perch, of course, but it's just... a strange image, like seeing the Terminator sucking on a lollipop. What's more, she appears to be talking with it.

Enough for most people, especially those who have met her before, to boggle - easily. Do you run across her and ask what the hell?]

Katia was about as vocal as usual about the people we fought, but between the physical similarities to our mechs and how scared the girls were when they saw the enemy, I think we've finally run across the people who created Bellzelute, Coustwell, and Granteed.

While I know most of you are going to fairy park, I have a project I have been thinking about. And since the repair crews don't have that much to do with the parts shortage, now would be a good time to do it.

I think we should install teleport relays in more locations around the ship. Places that would generally be considered less important to teleport to directly like the arboretum and the gym. It would not only make travel more convenient, but it would also have tactical benefit in the case the ship gets boarded.

More importantly right now, it would help cut down on walking time, which would help preserve precious calories. I don't know if the command crew will allow it, but we can at least discuss what everyone thinks of the idea on the forum I made for this post.

Francesca Lucchini didn't often set out to cause some fun, but she had woken up with a mission in mind. One that would take careful planning, and a lot of work.

Of course she's going to half ass it.

As in only take half the pair. She makes sure not to do it to anyone on duty for the day, but somewhere in an unused portion of the ship there's a pile of shoes. Only the left shoe, remember half assing here!

In place of the shoe she left directions if you can decypher them, on where to go to get your shoe back, of course she's not going to be there, she doesn't want to get lynched for a prank! Good luck finding her!

[ Char seems to be writing another letter, this one by hand. This one is addressed to... yeah. You guessed it. ]

Dearest Haman,

I hope this letter finds you well. I want to say first and foremost that I do not want you to worry about me, though I'm sure 'worried' isn't the correct word to describe your current state of mind regarding me. It is likely that you already know where I am, and what I have been up to recently. It is for that reason that I believe sending you this letter is paramount and necessary.

I know I am in no position to ask any favor of you whatsoever, however, I believe it is necessary to ask that you please do not take any action regarding the Titans. I know that is bold of me, but I want you to know that the White Chalice will deal with them when the time comes. Zeon involvement with the resistance movement would serve only to discredit their current progress, and would place the colonists in further danger.

Second, I want you to know that the White Chalice are not your enemies. There are good people onboard this ship, and they are not affiliated with the Federation in any way. In fact, at this point, I believe it would not be entirely inaccurate to call them enemies of the Federation, due to their opposition to the Titans. While there are ex-Federation soldiers onboard this ship, they abhor the current treatment of the colonists, and are working to help them as I write this.

Third, I want you to know that I do not consider myself an enemy of Zeon. I will always believe in the ideals of Zeon Zum Deikun, and I will always believe in the idea of a free and independent nation of Spacenoids. While my reasons for leaving Axis are my own, I do not want you to think of me as an enemy of Spacenoids. I believe Her Majesty Mineva Zabi will be a great ruler one day, and it is my wish to see her become a strong and benevolent figure that Spacenoids of all walks of life can look up to and admire.

I know that you know why I left Axis, Haman. I know you understand that while I will always care about you and wish you only the best, that I must, in time, bring myself to forgive you for what you did to Natalie. I know that, in your heart, you know that what you did was wrong. I hope that someday I can forgive you, and that perhaps, we can work together again to build a safe place for Spacenoids to live in freedom.

All I ask is that you do not harm the people of the White Chalice or intervene in the conflict with the Titans in any way. I have the situation under control, and that, while I may not have forgiven you for your betrayal of Natalie, I would not lie to you. Please try to understand my reasons for asking this of you.

Yours,
Char.

Since he had boarded the White Chalice, Yuunagi had been particularly focused on repairing the damage dealt to the Straybird. To anyone that passed by and glanced his way, he seemed to be in a rush.

Fortunately for him, the parts from the Graife residence brought onto the White Chalice by Ichitaka were sufficient to complete the repairs.

"The sooner I'm done here, the sooner I can leave" would be his answer to those who might have decided to ask why he was being so hasty.

Despite his talk with Ichitaka, Yuunagi was still adamant on continuing his search for their grandfather, alone.

Bother him? Convince him otherwise?

Thankfully the medics on the L-Boat were some of the best within a few hours he seemed to have stabilized ,the Doctors sending him to another room to let him rest. Waking up next to coma patients wouldn't exactly be a good sight for someone who was just injured.

He wakes up in the middle of the night slightly confused.]

1) [Ever since that guy was sent to the hospital, Tohya has been spending as much of his waking time as possible fighting in Coustwell. Festenia as well. They are ignoring the scheduled shifts, and are commonly the first on the scene during a Festum attack. Tohya's complaining has also taken a distinctly different bent, mostly complaining to himself about how fucked up the whole situation is. If anyone comes out using a TSX, he contacts them and tells them he has this down, he will keep them from having to pilot as much as possible. He might not be able to save the island, or save everyone from the festum. But if he can save at least one pilot from being killed by their own Fafner, he will do that. Besides, for some unknown reason the Cytron seems to quiet the Festum's voice. He doesn't know why exactly, but he will take any advantage he can get.]

2) [Unfortunately, this takes it's toll. Now the Coustwell is in the hanger, missing both it's arms and there is an obvious black hole shaped piece of it's upper legs which is missing. Neither Festania nor Tohya is complaining. Instead they are both looking up at the unit. They are battle scars, and they survived, and for now that is enough.]

[Haruka's been discharged from the hospital. She's not started taking shifts piloting yet, but she has started doing regular exercise. If you've been by the pool at all, you've seen her doing laps back and forth. She's ran around the entire L-boat a few times already today, so you might have seen that.

There's not too much to do on the L-boat, especially if you're not working as a pilot. Haruka's time has been pretty much completely devoted to working out, eating, and sleeping.

Catch her mid-exercise, or during a break?]

[Tohya wasn't sure what Festenia wanted when she dragged Coustwell out for a spin with him. Things were bustling with the mecha and supplies being moved to the L-Boat. Festenia wanting to train or pilot or even just punch stuff randomly in Coustwell was no surprise, so Tohya made no big deal of it. He probably should have noticed that she was slowly steering them towards the L-Boat, but she was distracting him with random crap. A few bungled maneuvers later and Coustwell had crashed.]

[It took them a while to get their bearings. Finding their way inside was tricky, but they managed. Festenia wanted to search around the area, they were obviously in an Alvis base, and neither of them had been allowed into those sections of the island previously. Obviously getting caught would ruin their fun, and though it was against his better judgement, Festenia could be rather... persuasive when she wanted to be.]

[The end result was that neither of them realized they were on the L-Boat rather than the island proper until after the launch, at which point there was nothing they could do about it. On the plus side, Coustwell was on the island to, so he could actually fight. Not that Tohya himself is necessarily happy about this.]

((Feel free to catch them at any point during this, but regardless of what happens, they ultimately end up on the L-Boat.))

It seems the more we do, the more enemies we make. Adventus, the Titans, the Festum, the Jovians, the Siberian Railway, the Federation, the Angels. Will this ever end?

And why can I pilot Coustwell? Why can Calvina pilot Belzellute? What does that mean? And why do I feel that by the end of this, another enemy will make itself known? An enemy which has something to do with the three girls and the machines we found.

[After the previous mission Ichitaka seems to have locked himself inside of Rushbird, rarely seen outside of it for several days. The machine itself would occasionally go out to do some zero-g training. It seemed like whatever it was Ichitaka didn't think it was important enough to tell anyone about it. In any case he wasn't able to keep it up and before long he can be found collapsed next to a hangar wall.]

[Injured during the last mission Cheng is now in the infirmary. There is much annoyance running through the man's mind for getting all but steamrolled by Graham during the mission, getting injured and of course Nadia putting a big "HEY! WE'RE WORKING WITH CELESTIAL BEING! SHOOT US!". This is all giving him an immense headache that is not assisting with his recovery.]

Alright. Like Hayato said last week, everyone who plans to fight in Zero-G needs particular training. So far we've only run into trouble with people stupid enough to fight inside colonies, but there's always a chance we'll have to engage someone in an orbital battlefield as well.

Anyone who plans to fight while we're in space, report to the hangar for training. This goes for our new Mobile Suit pilots, too. Those are designed to fight in space, but you still have to get used to the lack of gravity. Make sure you've got proper oxygen seals and install some of the Thruster Modules we bartered from Nergal if your unit isn't normally spacefaring.

[Action]

[Unlike her few training sessions on the surface, of course, Calvina's assembling the crew inside the hangar. She's also going over final adjustments on Bellzelute for training - she might as well get some of her own practice in instead of just watching the kids play. It was a fairly simple task to turn the limiters up to the point where the energy weapons became simply tracers and to load the missile pods and rifle with paint rounds...]

[ Following her last mission, Asuka has taken to pouting in her room, avoiding pretty much everyone. Currently, she's curled up on her bed, punching away at her cellphone. ]

Stupid Shinji. [ Click. ] Thinking he's better than me. [ Click, click. ] Thinking he's better than all of us. Just because he managed to down one lousy Angel.

[ Sighing, she sets her phone aside and flops onto her back, staring at the ceiling. She's alone right now, and thus mutters quietly: ]

Char...

What'll it take for him to notice me?

(( Open post is completely open! Feel free to stop by Asuka's room. She's in somewhat of a sour mood, but she's still willing to chat. ))
