Zeta: A Meeting of Minds.

Dita, something big is about to happen, and I think I'm in the middle of it. I want you to come and witness it by my side. I'm going to be in the War room.

[Audio]

[This is broadcasted through all communicators on a 3-repeat loop]

This is Kamille Bidan. To all parties invested in the defeat of the Titans, we're having a strategy pow-wow in the War Room. Please come to the War Room as soon as humanly possible. I repeat...

[Action]

[In the War room, Kamille is looking internally at himself, to try and muster the calm necessary for what will come.]

[Oh hey here's a Sayla in the war room.]

Umm...What's going on?

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 03:04 am (UTC)(link)
[ Char would follow Sayla in. ]

Kamille has a plan to lure the Titans into damaging their reputation with the Federation. We'll discuss it more once the others are here.

[identity profile] chases-aliens.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
[Dita's there, sitting to the side and wondering what this is all about.]

[identity profile] g-saviour.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
More corrupt Federation officers.

Why am I not surprised...

[identity profile] bottleofgundam.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
[Kincaid is at least there, though he's not saying much right now.]

[identity profile] newtypeamuro.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
[Amuro's there, leaning against the far wall. Whatever there is to be said, he's listening.]

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:03 am (UTC)(link)
Before we begin... [ Char says stepping forward to the table. ] I'm aware that the AEUG has been doing everything they can to resist the Titans, but with little success. I'm fully aware that they know about Kamille, as well. While I'm aware that the White Chalice cannot, by its own neutrality policy, join them, nor do I think they'd want us to with all of the other activities it partakes in. Therefore, I think that Kamille himself should not only serve along with Sayla as an official liaison to the AEUG, but directly organize and lead all of the White Chalice's anti-Titan activity.

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
...Is there any particular reason why you'd have Kamille lead? No offense Kamille, but...you're not exactly the most experienced person on board when it comes to running a military campaign.

[identity profile] limit-of-fate.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
[Tohya enters the room at this point but leans against the wall to listen rather than joining in.]

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
If I lead this campaign, the AEUG and its affiliates can be labeled Zeon sympathizers, and lose their credibility with anti-Titan movement. Likewise, Amuro is still a hero in the eyes of the people of the Federation. We need that image to hold its influence. Having him officially declared a traitor and being smeared with negative propaganda would only ruin that.

[ Char then turned to face Kamille. ]

Kamille is an obvious choice. He has no prior ties, he's more than proven himself on the battlefield, and he's a Newtype. He's what both Amuro and I are not.

[identity profile] limit-of-fate.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Nevermind, Tohya decides speaking up was relevant quicker than he anticipated.]

I think what Char means is the movement needs a figurehead who doesn't carry any baggage. Kamille doesn't, strictly speaking, have to plan everything on his own or even lead when we are behind closed doors. Just appear to lead whenever anyone who matters is watching. Am I correct?

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, precisely. Thank you Tohya.

[identity profile] newtypeamuro.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
I'm no hero... But you do have a point. 'Using my image' might leave a certain distaste in my mouth, but we might need it as a fallback.

-But that's not to say Kamille has to do everything on his own.

[identity profile] g-saviour.livejournal.com 2011-10-07 01:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, you know, and not to take any credibility away from the kid here, but I've already quit the Federation, but, depending on how you guys view Side 8, I'm already the hero of Gaia.

It might not mean a whole lot, but if you need someone to take some pressure of Kamille here, I'm here to lend a hand to all that. And I've got an old connection in the Illuminati, if you're looking to garner some extra support.

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I guess it's decided then, once we come up with a name...Wong's not going to like this...

[identity profile] chases-aliens.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
What about the Super Senshi Alien-Bishojo Hero Squad?

1/2

Super Senshi Alien-Bishojo Hero Squad?

2/2

[identity profile] limit-of-fate.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Who am I kidding. I pilot a hot pink giant robot with sparkling face palms. I'm in.

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
[ Char wasn't even going to dignify that suggestion with a response. ]

I suggest "the CIC" - Coalition of Independent Colonists. Rather than open resistance, the CIC will be a grassroots movement dedicated to nonviolent protests and political action. After all, not everyone will be able to join the AEUG and jump in a mobile suit. There needs to be a nonviolent resistance movement in addition to the AEUG, after all. Armed actions can be done under the banner of the AEUG, and nonviolent protests can be done under the banner of the CIC.

[identity profile] g-saviour.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well... what about Lightning Squad?

[[Something about that just... seems right. Seems... foreshadowing into something amazing.]]

[identity profile] limit-of-fate.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 03:23 am (UTC)(link)
CIC runs into the same problem though. The vast majority of the people on the White Chalice aren't colonists of any sort. Also that name intrinsically cuts out any earthnoids who might agree to the cause.

What about something like, Coalition of Independent People's? This also has the benefit of not being a rallying point against us by anyone who wants to cause more spacenoid, earthnoid conflicts.

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
[ Char hadn't thought of that. ]

Interesting. Do we prefer this, or Lightning Squad?

[identity profile] newtypeamuro.livejournal.com 2011-10-08 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Independent peoples isn't bad... But it still has certain connotations. Lightning Squad has impact, and it sounds completely autonomous. If I have a vote, that's what it's for.

[identity profile] 2good4thegundam.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[Sayla sat quiet while the others discussed their naming choices. Even when Dita spoke. Eventually though, she had to chime in.]

Lightning Squad sounds like it could be part of any larger military...CIP is meaningless...

...Caduceus. The winged staff entwined by serpents. It's used as a symbol of healing around the world. Even the more obscure purpose as a symbol of Hermes and commerce has relevance, given the trade restrictions the Titans have put up.

I feel it shows that we aim not to destroy or take over the world; merely alter it for the better.

[identity profile] redfckngcomet.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
[ And that was one of the reasons Char loved his sister. ]

I concur. My vote is for Caduceus.

[identity profile] g-saviour.livejournal.com 2011-10-09 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I can agree to that. I was just throwing my hat in the ring to lighten the mood a bit. Can't have everyone stressing out over a name before we get things moving.

[identity profile] limit-of-fate.livejournal.com 2011-10-10 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
...It's a tad pretentious... but sure, I can go with that.

[Raises hand]
