[There is a new unit in the hangar. This red machine looks heavily beaten up, some of its parts missing, currently held in a large sack slung over its shoulder. Yes, Memento Mori's pilot found a giant sack somewhere. Despite the damage, the machine still looks heavily ornamented. Oh, and there's a smokestack-looking contraption on its back.]

Do not be concerned, Memento Mori. I am sure these kind souls will restore you to pristine condition immediately!

Ah, where are my manners? My name is Alessandra Langelier of House Consenesco. Currently involved in battle by champion, with this world's future fate at stake. It was an opportune circumstance that allowed us to rally under one banner and share our objectives and common goals!

In other words, I am going to work with you. There is much to be done - but I will be delighted if we can help each other. This is quite an impressive base of operations that you reside in.

[After visiting the hangar, Alessandra will proceed to get lost in explore around the non-restricted parts of White Chalice, walking with confidence like she owns this place or something. Feel free to meet her almost anywhere.]

Roar Two

[Van is in the hangar, tending to whatever he can fix himself on the Shield Liger after the last battle. A robotic lizard-looking thing, about his size but with a long tail, is next to him as he does so; he's talking to it occasionally, and it's giving various growls and other noises in response. While he's diligently working on repairs, he seems a bit distant, until at one point he starts speaking to the lizard again.]

I'm kinda worried, Zeke. This is war, you know? [A growl, seemingly of agreement.] I'm glad we can fight to protect people, but at the same time, there's a cost. In the things we destroy, in the people we hurt, and in us, the people that fight. [He frowns; the robot is silent.] It's like everything Irvine was always telling us is coming back to haunt us, huh, buddy? [Zeke makes a low humming noise.] But at least we get to save people, too. I guess there's always good with the bad... [Van falls silent again, returning to work.]

Oh, cool! Hi everyone, my name's Sara Smith! I'm one of the people who helped you guys out in San Francisco or...the other way around...the Colonel called you, so...yeah.

Anyway! I'm Sara, I'm from San Francisco, and apparently I'm a Libra. Colonel Preston sent me and Josh along with you all because we think the Nightmares are spreading out from San Francisco, and we're the ones who know how to fight them! What else...oh, can anyone help me reassemble my ANIMa creche later? Derek gave me all the diagrams, but some of the pieces are too big for even Josh to lift and I couldn't find a a jack just now so right now mine's kind of in a pile in the hangar...oh! And all that other stuff in the hangar! Are those real robots? I never thought I'd see a working one!

Oh, oh, right! That was the important thing! Um...what's been going on for the last seven years, anyway? Outside, I mean.

Interlude 01 - Welcome to the Chalice

You know, Joshua was going to introduce himself with something more coherent than a "wow," and running his hand across the outside hull of the ship. But then again, this is the first time he's seen a pre-Bliss spaceship up close.

He has his backpack, of course, and is carrying along ANIMa cradle subassemblies in a cart. But still. He's in awe of the ship, and of what it represents.
