[Yuu is just staring at the empty dock in the hangar where the Rushbird was standing only a day earlier.]

So he took flight on his own...

[Strangely enough, Ichitaka's aloof older brother doesn't seem all too upset. He does bring a hand up to his chin after a moment or two, though.]

...Maybe I should have let him borrow the wings.

Aaa...I understand...is that how it works?

[See Yuunagi. See Yuunagi actually casually conversing with multiple girls at the same time...without being weird?

Granted, these were mostly the geeky types (part of the maintenance teams, and even some teachers!) and conversation subjects were of a mechanical nature. Still, it's pretty amazing.

This preparation area adjacent to the battle arena was almost like a hangar, and Yuu is just going about looking at equipment and units that are not classified in nature. He really seems to be enjoying himself.

Feel free to bother him though!]

[Sometime after Haruka left Miki finally decided to tell the rest of the crew what Mondenkind's plans were for dealing with Imber.]

I figured that it would only be fair to tell you all this since some of you seem delusional on the situation with Imber. I have orders to destroy Imber and I will be making it my first priority to ensure that happens.

Hey, can you give me a hand? Hold this just for a sec!

We teleported. I didn't even know such technology is possible.

I'm pretty sure I'm the same person as before - and I hope I'm not mistaken. Depending on how teleportation works, it might have some nasty side effects. And I'm not talking about failed teleportation where your DNA gets fused with a fly or anything like that.

[As much as Ichitaka wanted to go out and help defend the ship his Super Robot was in no condition to do so. The fight with Granzon as well as trying to retrieve Imber had left the machine rather wrecked. At the moment the boy was repairing the machine on his own. Maybe I should have been a bit more careful.

[Those who visit the hangar may notice a strange pile of scrapped parts building up on the floor by the Straybird's station. Some of these parts have been assembled to form a chair of sorts, but it looks far from complete...

Yuunagi muses aloud;]

This might be far more complex than I'd anticipated. Was using broken parts a little too ambitious?

[Since the time he'd spent using the Federation Base's simulators, Yuunagi has devoted considerable time to whatever he's building, besides doing his usual work alongside the other mechanics like Lowe and MarKus. The recent Christmas events (like the party, which Yuunagi obviously did not attend; since despite his social progress, he's still unable to endure crowds of more than 3 people in a decently sized room) gave him more leeway to focus on this too.

But no matter how much effort he poured into this project, he just can't seem to get it right...]

[Dissatisfied? Hell yes.

Since the end of the mission, Yuunagi has been spending his time in the simulators, not even bothering to eat or drink. His targets? Any huge machines available in the database; all larger, heavier and better armored than the Straybird by varying degrees.

The results turn out to be less than satisfactory. At the same time, he knew that the circumstances of the mission prevented him from utilizing the Straybird's abilities to the fullest.

Regardless, he keeps going at it without stopping, it might not achieve anything, but maybe it's just his way of venting?

Feel free to join or bother him if you decide to visit.]

(Important OOC - Since the mods have kindly pointed out that the Chalice does not have simulators of its own, the simulators in use for this log are the multipurpose simulators in the Federation base.)

Since he had boarded the White Chalice, Yuunagi had been particularly focused on repairing the damage dealt to the Straybird. To anyone that passed by and glanced his way, he seemed to be in a rush.

Fortunately for him, the parts from the Graife residence brought onto the White Chalice by Ichitaka were sufficient to complete the repairs.

"The sooner I'm done here, the sooner I can leave" would be his answer to those who might have decided to ask why he was being so hasty.

Despite his talk with Ichitaka, Yuunagi was still adamant on continuing his search for their grandfather, alone.

Bother him? Convince him otherwise?
