[Since Tower left off, Devon was doing a very un-Devonlike thing: training pretty much constantly. Either training with Neo Getter, or resting after training with Neo Getter. Now is the time to rest.]

North Africa... I checked the coordinates. Of course they match up. That cave in Atlas Mountains - four years ago, I thought this is where it ends.

But it was only the beginning. And now, the real end comes. All in the same place.

I've been investigating Sage's last words. We managed to get a brief connection with an old spy satellite that still works on and off and we've picked up unusual readings at the coordinates he gave us. I'm going to send The Tower. With the help of Ms. Ericks, we should be able to make it there within three days. I could use a few experts to help out.

Hayato's down in the academy on a totally mundane resupply mission. Need to organize the purchase of more rations and new armor plating for The Tower after the fight with HALO. However, while a lot of the White Chalice visitors are rather popular among the ladies, not many of them can actually make students run and hide with just a look. Which was annoying, because he wasn't even trying to be scary. He just wanted to get his work done, but he was hopelessly lost.

"Do you know where the head offi- Wait! Don't RUN goddammit, I just need to-"

But another student who actually knows where anything is in this place has fled. Hayato rolled his eyes as he sat down for a minute to take a smoke. Maybe things will make more sense after that.

[[So, there's that Technica guy, only, rather publically, without his helmet on. If anyone knows the length of MarKus's hair or... that telltale bandanna, they can recognize him from behind talking to two adults.

One of them is hugging him, the other is kind of nagging/scolding him.

Eavesdropping proves they're talking about how MarKus's little adventure with the Chalice got started, and that his plan was about 3 days earlier than his parents plan of the same result: steal the Technica and bail out. But at the least, in running off like some costumed hero, suspicion was completely deterred from his parents, and they were allowed to resign freely and peacefully, in order to 'work on new projects', which... is being hauled into the Chalice as they're busy talking.

They're not as impressive as the GP-01's vernier thrusters, but, it's a step up from what MarKus didn't use before.]]

So, are you getting paid.

I'm saving the world. I didn't know that paid? But, it's not like anyone has a contract here either. It's all kinda... yanno... Do whatever. And it's a good ship to get around on an exterminate some Percolatis [[EPIC GRIN]]

[[His parents grin back, despite things.]] Well, that's good for you. You're probably better off here than running around on your own anyway.

[In the hangar bay, Resnick can be found offloading salvage from the fight with HALO, using his Summoner's hands to hoist sections in. Nothing is wasted among the clans.

Last but not least is HALO's head. He looks it over, wondering what to do with it.

In the library though he can be found hard at other work: watching bad sitcoms and romcoms. It's a kind of education. He's trying to figure out how freeborn personal relationships work.]

I have a question: Why do people feel the need to call out the weapons they are using on the comm channel before they fire them? Do they think that in the middle of a battle we can process all that information?

Also, I have recovered HALO's head, though there does not appear to be anything useful inside. I propose we fix it to the hull as a trophy.

Directly after the mission, Hayato is standing before the smoking remains of HALO, his coat flapping in the breeze. He is surrounded by technicians and soldiers from The Tower, who are getting ready to start stripping down the remains of the legendary mecha for it's technological secrets and for spare parts.

He's also waiting for a visit from Char, who he suspects might wish to discuss some matter with him.

And hey, who WOULDN'T want a chance to get a look at the most famous (or maybe infamous) robots of all time up close? Feel free to drop by for sight seeing.

[[The Shit has hit the fan. Not a whole lot of damage to the machines, but moreso damage to the ship and people's morale.

Here's one that's actually... crazy as he is, driven by this disaster. Mostly to get everyone else back into the fight ASAP.

For once, MarKus is not being a moron and chasing off after the captives, but rather, barking orders to people to get shit back under repair.

Firstly, he's getting the halls cleared out and at least patched back up. Next comes the hole in the hull that Lucas came through, then, quite after, repair to anything that took damage, assumed that Hayato isn't taking some of them in to aid with the repairs as well. MarKus DOES have his own mech to get working again as well.

After all... they're down to ONE RIDER now. Him.]]

Shit... the last Rider is the one without a belt.. the FUCK am I going to do...

[Chrono's just leaving the bridge of the White Chalice, where he got a proper report on the damages. A still-unconfirmed number of people kidnapped, but at least half a dozen; damage to the Chalice itself; and a number of the people left behind were still horribly damaged and scarred, not to mention the mental trauma they'd have to endure. No, this wasn't a good day at all. To punctuate it, he drives his fist into the wall opposite the door, still marked from Eri's attempt to hold the door from the attackers.]

Is this how Admiral Graham felt, watching my father die? This... uselessness?

[3 - Action]

[A few hours later finds Chrono in the Asura's largest training room, an unfamiliar (to everyone else) Device drawn that looks more like a mace than anything else, Chrono himself looking tired but determined, and the room surprisingly cold, ice crystals all over and large chunks of ice strewn about.]

I need more power... I've got to find something. Having the skill and the experience isn't enough anymore... Durandal!

Yes, Boss. [Chrono brings the mace to bear and charges up a spell, before firing; it doesn't appear to have a name yet, but shards of crystal-clear ice fly forward into the far shielded wall, falling to join a pile of not-yet-melted ice.]

Hayato is in the White Chalice Commons area, setting up a VR kit of the type Gainer always seems so fond of and looking a bit like your grandad when confronted with a DDR pad. Being aloof and mysterious is all well and good, but every once in a while you've got to remind the younger generation of their place. And truth be told he missed piloting. This seemed like a relatively harmless way to indulge in a bit of nostalgia.

By the time his challenger got there, he was pretty sure he had everything set up right.

[So then... you were just heading down to the hangar for whatever reason... maybe you were due for going out on patrol or maybe you're a mechanic but WHATEVER THE CASE... you'll instead find a sight for you, with both Neo Getter Robo and Shin Getter Robo standing on opposites sides of the hangars, arranged in such a way that they hold each other's hand in the form of a handshake!]

Alright then everyone! As you all probably know, the Dinosaur Empire's finally gone for good, but the same can't be said about the Invaders! And so, to help bolster our chances and increase the pool we have for Getter pilots, we are now offering tryouts to see if anyone's got what it takes to pilot with me!

There's two tests for this, a piloting one and a written one, and you just need to pass one of them to enter the Getter Reserves... so be sure to inform me or Commander Jin about your decisions if you want to take part in this!

The day after Ryoma arrived in the Black Getter, the finally fully repaired Tower caught up with the White Chalice, with no fanfare at all. The teleporter terminal on the Chalice turned on and Hayato Jin reappears in your lives. He takes in the mess of pantsless teenagers chasing each other around, various small robots and other creatures getting into places they're not supposed to, piles of damaged gundams and other mobile suits, and all the rest of the mess that makes up life on the White Chalice. Eventually, he muttered "I can't believe I was starting to miss this place. I must be going soft in the head."

[Devon is free to walk the boards of White Chalice and generally be a nuisance once again. She couldn't care less about the recent events, especially since the holding cell had no speaker so the annoying music never reached her.

What she could care less though, is the amplifier that contains her Sophium Crystal - now back on her wrist, safely.]

[Devon found Laura, most likely in their room - and she approaches her, not quickly but forcefully. She leans in uncomfortably close before speaking - and the words sound calm, but the look in Devon's eyes... it's not calm at all.]

[With the supply shortage, repairs to The Tower have basically crawled to a stop. It is at least in mostly working order by now, but there are still sections blasted out by Festum black hole bombs, and the heavy weapons still don't work.

But Hayato seems pretty at ease about it. Perhaps it has to do with the strange music playing. He's doing the normal busy work involved in keeping a barely functional land cruiser operational while running low on supplies, but he's doing it while humming along and tapping his toe in time with the music.

For those of you who know Hayato, it's the weirdest goddamn thing you ever saw.]

[Surprisingly for very few people actually familiar with Devon, her attitude regarding food rationing and obeying rules in general left her in a holding cell. She'll be there for a while - so if you're concerned about her feeling sad or lonely, by all means come visit!

Extra consideration: Devon's amplifier is gone so no Shifter shanenigans or summoning armor this time. At a first glance, she doesn't look too concerned about this, or pretty much anything at all. Too busy leaning against a wall opposite to the entry door.]

(Well, first post in here! Nice to meet you, everyone)

And in the meantime a newcomer, a tall, blonde woman in a blue suit, is walking around, taking in everything. She's seen enough - she obviously should stay here. She has no way to go home, and it's obvious these people fight creatures like that one regularly. And Ridley's also stranded here, having been hurt by these people, which will have him search revenge - he may not be as powerful as some of the creatures here, but there's much to be said for the danger of utterly ruthless and dangerously cunning enemies even if they may not be as impressive powerwise. And let's be honest, from what she saw before, most of the people here are far too naive for her to wish them having to deal with a mind as profoundly sick as Ridley's. She might as well join temporarily. She knows enough of the Chozo predictive skill to know that that these things rarely happen by mere chance.

Problem here is that she probably should to talk to the captain for that, then (to get authorization to park her ship in the hangar, if nothing else), except she has no idea who he is or where. Nor if this is an actual organization or a ragtag band of misfits. Or, well, anything about what's going on here, actually. And after today's fight she really doesn't have the patience to explore this whole place right now. Better ask for directions.

And so, Samus will stop whoever she comes across, intending to get some information on White Chalice. Who wants to meet, welcome, and/or help the big scary lady?

[Since rationing started aboard White Chalice, Devon has yet to pick up her daily allotment of food. She eats precious little anyway - but that's still more than nothing, and despite ignoring her ration it doesn't seem like she's starving. And this is because...]

[When few people are around, suddenly the door to the pantry opens and from the storage area leaves, who else but Devon. Wait, how did she get there? And considering she holds an apple, or perhaps a single bread roll in her hand, it's obvious that someone is ignoring the rationing rules and stealing food.

And worst of all, she doesn't look like she cares about it at all.]

[Since that battle last week, Rinon's been pretty scarce. She's been holed up in the hangar, working on repairs to Dibison, to distract herself from having to think about what she'd seen. She'd slept in Dibison, and barely even gone to the kitchen for food (which would be a shock to anyone who knows her).

[Unfortunately, there aren't any repairs left, and so Rinon's got no choice but to face what happened, and question if she belongs here. She made her way to the deck, hoping that the fresh air and breeze would clear her mind]

Hayato stands in the hangar of The Tower directly after the battle with the invaders, surrounded by busy personnel all relaying his orders. Sure, two old friends he long thought were dead had just appeared out of nowhere in a twenty minute window, but the Tower was still on the verge of falling apart, and now that it was clear that the ball was starting to get rolling, he wanted the Tower back in working order NOW.

For a man who just witness the deaths of dozens, if not hundreds of people at the hands of an ally, he looks completely unrattled. Of course, this shouldn't really surprise you all anymore, should it? He'll be doing this all the way back to the White Chalice, so anyone can react.

I'll be giving a brief overview of how Midchildan magic and Devices work on the deck in 15 minutes. Anyone interested in learning how to use a Device, come on up - I'll have a stack of basic Devices you can try out.

[Sure enough, in 15 minutes Chrono can be found on the deck of the White Chalice with a stack of basic Devices, which will happily change into a staff form for anyone that wants to try, Fate having already shown up to help; he'll wait a bit for people to show before launching into a basic explanation.]

Some basics before we start: Midchildan magic is powered by the user's Linker Core. Everyone has a Linker Core, but some people have stronger Linker Cores than others, and like a muscle, it grows stronger with use and practice. Devices are designed to help channel the output from a mage's Linker Core, and give form to spells. As for how to use it... [He draws a training Device.] Set Up! [The staff extends to be about as tall as Chrono, with an obvious fancy end that probably does something special.] Now I can cast spells through this. A lot of Midchildan magic is trusting your instincts; you might be able to cast a spell or two just by feeling. I can help beyond that.

White Chalice. This is Alexei Soras. I have received a parcel from the League of Ruling Corporations. They have requested for all of you to watch it with me. Please stand by...

[The video blanks out for a couple of seconds, followed by a bright flash of blue light, and the League's symbol.]

This is the League of Ruling Corporations. We hope that our pilot's continued partnership with the White Chalice has been fruitful. However, due to the contractual obligations tied to the Reinheit and Wahrheit, we must request the following mission from all on the White Chalice. Omer Science will administer the briefing.

[The screen flashes white, and the League's symbol has been replaced by Omer Science's own]

I'll tell you about your mission. The client is Omer Science Technologies. The target is Bernard and Felix Foundation's main Arms Fort: Spirit of Motherwill.

[The screen flashes an image of the behemoth:

The enemy AF is armed with large bore, long range ordinance. It's an oversized, out-of-date machine, but the long-range punch it can deliver still makes it a serious threat.

To counter this, the client has proposed the use of a Vanguard Overd Boost to the Reinheit and Wahrheit. Their tremendous speed and large heat signatures should allow for the White Chalice to also move within range without too much trouble.

Once you've closed in, destroy the gun batteries. Destroying those guns should also cause damage to the machine's interior. It's...pretty poorly designed, but that kind of sloppy work is expected of them.

That's the briefing.

[Omer's symbol once again appears against the pure white background]

This is a very important mission for Omer Science Technologies... we hope you come through for us.

[The screen fades, replace again by the League's symbol]

Rest assured, White Chalice, this mission will not go unrewarded. The League is prepared to supply the Chalice with as much as you request, within reasonable bounds. Failure to comply with this mission will prompt the Reinheit and Wahrheit to disembark, and for the League to take measures against the Chalice. We hope to see you again soon.
