Seventh Order
[1 - Late in DOWNFALL (Log)]
[Far above the battle, a familiar warship is cruising back into Earth orbit.] All right, now I just need to reestablish communications with the Chalice, and... [There's a shrill sound as the alarm activates; after a moment a report comes in.] High energy levels on #97... oh, that's not good. Amy! Get me visuals on the Chalice's expected location, now!
[And of course, they appear. The now-smoking Chalice, the scarred battlefield, and the obvious signs of combat both on the ground and on the deck. Then there's another beeping sound.] Attention Asura. You have clearance to reestablish teleporter connection to the White Chalice. Be advised that the ship is currently under attack, and that Bureau officer Fate Testarossa was kidnapped during the conflict, as well as several others; her current location is unknown. Assistance would be appreciated, though the enemy forces appear to be in retreat. No further urgent reports at this time.
[Chrono signed off properly, his mind not paying any attention. They kidnapped Fate? I can't... how? She's the strongest officer we have assigned here! She's the strongest Midchildan mage I've seen in ages aside from Nanoha! And they got her...?] ...Reestablish the teleporter link to the White Chalice. Let me know when it's done, I need to get down there. Sooner rather than later. I'll be in my quarters until then.
[Chrono leaves the Asura's bridge and heads back to his own chambers, pulling out Durandal's dormant form.] Guess we're going to have a fight on our hands.
[2 - Action]
[Chrono's just leaving the bridge of the White Chalice, where he got a proper report on the damages. A still-unconfirmed number of people kidnapped, but at least half a dozen; damage to the Chalice itself; and a number of the people left behind were still horribly damaged and scarred, not to mention the mental trauma they'd have to endure. No, this wasn't a good day at all. To punctuate it, he drives his fist into the wall opposite the door, still marked from Eri's attempt to hold the door from the attackers.]
Is this how Admiral Graham felt, watching my father die? This... uselessness?
[3 - Action]
[A few hours later finds Chrono in the Asura's largest training room, an unfamiliar (to everyone else) Device drawn that looks more like a mace than anything else, Chrono himself looking tired but determined, and the room surprisingly cold, ice crystals all over and large chunks of ice strewn about.]
I need more power... I've got to find something. Having the skill and the experience isn't enough anymore... Durandal!
Yes, Boss. [Chrono brings the mace to bear and charges up a spell, before firing; it doesn't appear to have a name yet, but shards of crystal-clear ice fly forward into the far shielded wall, falling to join a pile of not-yet-melted ice.]
