[It's time.  Thanks to Bian feeding you the location of the prison and Phillip and Shotarou relaying information back and forth currently the White Chalice fleet is currently stationed right outside of the sensor range of the prison facility.  The base is huge, with entire squadrons patrolling the surrounding area, some of it Federation, some of it Adventus.]



Captain, would you like to say anything to everyone before we begin?

[Aaaand cue headsigh before Ayame opens up a fleet-wide broadcast.]

Alright then people.  Believe it or not, we're the diversion here for the DC's own offensive into Adventus territory.  And that's fine by me.  Everyone, we're going to be betting it all on this and we'll either be leaving this place together or we'll be joining our comrades already imprisoned.  We have intel and we have a link to our comrades on the inside.

And most importantly I think I speak for everyone when I say I want to take back everything and everyone who was taken from us.

We've all discussed plans of attack and how we're going to do this, but that's in the past now.  Now's the time to make good on everything we said.



[Now cue Dan, in full military regalia!]

RIGHT!  All pilots and crewmembers, prepare for battle!  On-foot teams, standby for insertion via Getter!  Shotarou, send everyone inside a line so they can time their breakout with this!

(Here it is!  We've plotted to a degree and the time for action is now!  There'll be several "fronts" for this, each with its own thread and probably we'll have subthreads too.  Keep in mind to not go around godmoding things and let everyone take part in the awesomeness... and if you want to discuss and carry out some event with the mods specifically or just have a question to ask, drop one of the mods a line.)

I just wanna tell you all, good work out there.  For once, it was "Right place, Right time" cuz I don't want no alien plants clutterin up our blue skies.  Unfortunately, I'm under the assumption that that ain't the end of it. 

Them pretty space girls have been wantin to talk to ya'll, so I'm gonna patch 'em through.

Oh? Finally!  Your captain had us on hold for half an hour!  I hope all of your men aren't like that.  But besides that, we had an encounter with another squad of Harvesters.  It was shortly after we realized that their mothership had left your airspace.

When we got to tracking it after it left us, it appeared twice more, once in space and once on the other side of your planet. 

We didn't handle the other groups, but someone else did. 

But that's hardly good news.  The ship dropping off the Reapers has left this solar system.  While we were tracking it, we picked up a much larger fleet on the way.  Whatever that ship is, it must only be a drop ship. 

We've already run the numbers and they should be here in two days.  From what we can gather, if we can cut off whatever's controlling the drones, we can stop them all at once.

I can't promise anything, but we'll do our part from here.  B.C. out.

[Rather than send the whole of the Chalice to 30 Bunch, a smaller transport shuttle has been dispatched instead, housing all of you.  As you near the colony a number of pre-recorded warnings begin to be transmitted, warning of the remaining nerve gasses still inside.  However, the woman in charge of this operation can't help but laugh a little.]

 

Not sure if those are just holdover from before this place was renovated or not, but either way you have to hand it to them for being thorough.

[Still though, as the ship nears one of the docking ports, Ayame grows a tad more serious, shifting around and focusing.]

Anyways, long story short, we're going into this half-blind so be careful.  We expect to be fighting Mirror Monsters, Undead, and these... [she checks the papers that Maxene provided her regarding the exploratory autopsy] "Metroids"..., and we expect that these three groups will also be fighting each other.

Why?  Well, hopefully if you crack enough skulls we can find out who's behind all of this.  If it's one of the Riders, well, I wouldn't be surprised.  Anyone who's seen the Ryuki documentaries should know that the originals were less than model citizens, so that'll make things easier on any on your consciences.  And if we don't find out, there's the whole issue of these things are monsters, if they keep fighting like this, 30 Bunch may be destroyed, at which point they could just hop over to one of the colonies at Side 1 actually inhabited by people.  So keep that in mind.

And yes, I know all too well about our track record with visiting colonies, but you know what they say: best way to stop a fire at an oil well is to blow it out with napalm.

Lastly, if anyone hasn't seen the Kamen Rider Blade documentaries, be aware that the Undead are functionally immortal and indestructible... but they can still be knocked unconscious well enough.

[And with that, the shuttle stops, its doors opening up to reveal a surprisingly well-maintained, although deserted, airlock.]

Alright the, time to get cracking!

(Christ, another battle post, and so soon!  At any rate, everyone gets to channel their inner Celestial Being by intervening here.  On one side we have the Mirror Monsters and on the other there's the Undead, and on top of that, there's the Fission Metroids from Metroid Prime trying to suck the life force out of everything too!  Answers about who's behind the breakdown between the two sides of the colony and why will come later, after I'm done with classes today.

[It's a news broadcast. The camera shows a man at the podium, backed by several faces, familiar to some or unfamiliar to everyone.]

Good people of the Federation, and all of our brothers and sisters of Earth. On behalf of our newly-elected coalition government, I would first like to say: Happy New Year. At this, the beginning of a new age, and the anniversary of the conclusion of the One Year War, there is no better time for me to come forward and say that today is the dawn of a new era of peace and security. Tragedy has struck many of our outlying cities and territories in the past year, beginning with the predations of the technological terrorist organization Celestial Being, and culminating with unprovoked assaults with mobile suits by the so-called remnants of the Principality of Zeon and the Zodiac Alliance of Freedom Treaty.

The Earth Federation, the legitimate government of the solar system and the greatest democracy in the world, has answered the call of reason and brought together a government dedicated to preventing such atrocities from escalating into another Second Impact. As a humble scientist and the founder of the Adventus Movement, I swear to uphold the sacred charge given to me of defending the Earth from the rampages of irresponsible weapon use, by Zeon, ZAFT, Britannia, terrorists, or any other warmongering thugs that threaten the safety and continuation of the human race. [Chretien raises his hands in salute to his audience, and the General Assembly - including and especially the men and women seated on the stage behind him - rise and applaud.]

[At the last little stop the White Chalice had, a particular man took the opportunity to come aboard.  His reasons, as explained to the captain and Ayame, were perfectly simple; one of the pilots had inherited the legacy of a good friend of his, and he wished to help clear a few things up for him.  And thus now he was just waiting in a small conference room, a briefcase to his side as he waited for the man of the hour to show...]

[[Jegus christ, would you believe it? The music has STOPPED!  Is it finally over!?
