Discovery #22 - Book Club

Alright, White Chalice. There's quite a bit of people who like books and reading here, are there not? I hope there are, otherwise all this effort went for nothing.

Ahem, anyway. Me and Laura (Ericks) are starting the White Chalice Book Club. The idea is simple - an organization that will help its members seek out titles that interest them and lend them to each other. Basically, it works like this: You sign up as a member, and get access to the database. Here, you can add and remove books that you have available and can borrow to other people, and can browse the catalogue to see what other people have to offer. If someone has something that interests you and is not lent currently, then just go to them in person and borrow the thing.

Easy, huh? This way all interested people will have better access to stuff they're interested in - novels, comic books, manga, technical manuals, doesn't matter, you can use the club for all of this stuff. No need to ask every random person on the ship do they have the collected works of Shakespeare (or whatever else you want to read) anymore! So, you know, sign up. The database is set up now, and the club's open to everyone, even if you don't have any books to lend and just want to borrow them from others like a parasite. Got any questions, ask me or Laura.

PS. Avid readers treat books with respect. Try to return everything in the same state you borrowed it. Or else.

[Even if you don't want to talk but still sign up, feel free to tag with that and possibly write what books you add to the catalogue. Werter's there already, with a decent choice of novels and manga. He keeps the adult stuff to himself though.]

The Dragon Emerges

[If anyone is on the bridge of The Tower for some reason, they will find the normal tedium of scanning and maintenance replaced by total pandemonium. Satellite uplinks are being tested, listening posts are being called, elaborate scanning is taking place, and all the reports are agreeing: All over the world, the Invaders are on the move. Hayato's normally cool resolve is a bit cracked right now, his fingers are white from gripping the railing around the command platform.]

It's the same response as on record from fifteen years ago, sir! It's the dragon!

Dammit, how did they find it before us!? I want everyone at battle stations and The Tower prepped to go ten minutes ago! Somebody get me the Chalice on the line!

It's back and it's close. Shin Getter Dragon has started reforming and it is absolutely VITAL that we do not let the Invaders get their tentacles on it before we do.

A Stealth Fighter ?

The calm skies above the White Chalice was broken. Those on the deck could see a long smoke trail. The producer of this smoke trail was a strange airplane. It's camouflage would make it hard to see, yet the obvious engine trouble showed it's hand. Those on the Deck get a shock as the other engine starts to flame out!

Clearance was given, and the plane limped it's way into the landing corridor. The landing was tough, but successful, as the grey pixely fighter came to a rest. Those in on the deck can  see the pilot opening the canopy, jump out and raise there hands. The Pilots face obstructed by a large flight helmet, Even the eyes were bathed an a green glow. A surprisingly soft voice came out, "I request repairs, and fair treatment."

After some convincing, the pilot acknowledges the White Chalice as a friendly group.
"I am Mobius One, of the Independent State Allied Forces."
The Pilot still had not taken off her helmet, and the low buzzing of the lights give the pilot a uncanny quality. "I will be working with you until my craft is repaired, and my role repaid. Does anyone have some water?"  as Mobius one slumped down in exhaustion.

Clearly, this overly happy grin is something rare for the Major... She'd even admit her cheeks here hurting! Just what in the gosh-golly heck is she so giddy about?

(You find Fate in the rehearsal room for the band. In front of her are several sheets of music. She seems to be deep in thought. Soon, she releases a heavy sigh while pushing her hat down a bit to cover her eyes.)

What are we going to do without a drummer? We barely made it by without a guitarist...Will this really be the end of the Multiversals?
