1) [Close CR only]
[So it seems that Cheng's split second decision to save Wang Ding Bang and choice to the inclusion of the Thaumata remnants into his forces has paid off greatly. he was looking over the information the Loyalists had provided. The details of the base itself looked most grim indeed. The construction for it began well before the first civil war before Gucun was rent asunder - but the plans for it had been ceased as discontent stirred in the state. Han Zhi had managed to snatch the facility up for his own usage behind Cheng's back... much of the original plans were completely out of date, and there was just barely enough information to work off to figure out where the data that would completely collapse Han Zhi's support structure around his ears.]
And to make matters worse the Vampire has decided to return to mock us all once again...
[He takes a sharp breath and shuts his eyes... a two front battle... with one force going into the fortress to retrieve the data, going up against practically anything that could have been looted from the old caches ... and the other caught between Han Zhi's forces as well as that of Nicolai's hordes. He actually chuckles as he regards all the information... placing it down at the desk.]
We have faced worse odds...
[Interrupt the Chairman General's musings?]
2)
[Cheng seems to be pondering something on a piece of paper... with the battle coming soon he figured he should have a speech prepared...something to rouse people to victory... but...]
[He just glares at the paper, crushing it and tossing it aside with a look of disgust. If one picks it up and reads it...]
'Everyone. My friends and comrades. My countrymen, my allies
It is time to take the battle to our foes. Not just Han Zhi, whose manipulations and lies will lead Gucun to another inevitable collapse - but the inhuman forces of the vampire Nicolai - who was responsible for countless deaths... the devastation of Jiang Jing city.
They cannot run nor hide. They believe their secrets are safe, that their fortresses are unbreakable. They believe themselves to be an unbeatable force - both of them. They believe they have power. They believe they have the advantage.
And they are wrong on all accounts. We have the knowledge we need to fell them both.
No fortress is invincible. All gates can crumble. All walls can shatter. An army of ravening beasts and men manipulated into control stand no chance against those who fight for a cause. For something to believe in.
We have the power to grind their armies into the dust. Not just in ourselves, but in the comrades who stand by our side - our brothers and sisters in arms. We have brotherhood. Solidiarity. Trust. We have the might of our convictions - a force that turns the weak into the mighty - that drives armies onwards to victory.
Everyone!
Fight well! Fight on until we see the light of day! When the sun is upon us once more the heavens themselves will shake with our victory cry!
To victory!'
[He rests his fists on the table, a grimace on his face.]
I... am not like that madman...
[Given the speech made by one Red Comet... clearly anything remotely similar....]
3) [Broadcast/General Reaction Post.]
[A broadcast rings out... across the Chalice and to Cheng's supporters - however few there are. Cheng's face is set in a look of determination.]
I won't waste time on speeches. We're taking Gucun back. We're bringing Nicolai's fortress down on his head.
I will see you all after the battle. Don't die. Not to either of our enemies.
