As Hayato Jin has outlined the Invaders for us, it is only fair that I do the same for the opponents we fought from my universe. What you met out there was not Clan Jade Falcon as we had originally thought. It was The Word Of Blake.

Let me briefly explain their history. Three hundred and fifty years ago in my universe, The Star League united interstellar civilization. When the Star League collapsed, two of its greatest institutions went their seperate ways. The Star League Defense Force exiled itself into the Deep Periphery, where we would become The Clans. The Star League Communications Service, which was responsible for faster than light communication throughout the Inner Sphere and Periphery, became Comstar. Comstar gradually developed a mystical bent, seeing technology as sacred and carefully guarding it against the ravages of the Succession Wars.

It is ironic that we would clash, but we two descendants of The Star League did, on the world of Tukayyid. As a result of the defeat of the other Clans, we signed a fifteen year truce. Primus Anastasius Focht began reforms of Comstar immediately afterwards, secularising it.

The more conservative parts of Comstar split off to become The Word Of Blake. They see themselves as holy warriors. Ambushes, killing noncoms, false flag operations, they do not shy away from any of these dezgra tactics.

That is our enemy. They intercepted the Jade Falcons and pretended to be them to try to lure us into a trap.

It was...only the quick thinking of Star Captain Ranna that prevented the jaws from closing around us.

[2: Action]

After the Blakists dropping artillery on their heads, Resnick can be found in the gym, pounding on the bag. He grunts with each shot that lifts it on its chains, rattling them. This is not a display of finesse and technique. It's a man letting off steam.

[[In light of recent developments, this is clearly the perfect time for one of those training montages.

Granted, Schwarz thinks that something else may come along, drawn to the Getter Dragon and attempt to control it as well. Well, that's a worst-case situation, but, still a situation that needs to be avoided.

As it stands now, he's the only, appropriate, one that could stand up to battle this other monstrosity he's worried about. And that worry, has lead to this dramatic training montage!

(1)
First, Schwarz himself is training his body and speed in the gym, striking into one of the large sandbags a multitude of times, and despite the sounds of impact echoing out the bag doesn't move until...

(2)
And now Schwarz and his Gundam are out about on the decks and tops of the ship, moving in a black and white blur along the perimeter. On occasion, it'll seem like there's more than one Gundam, copies attacking themselves in a mind-blowing display of ninja skill!

After the mission, after Ranna has time to assess casualty and damage reports, she will be at the mess hall, and opens up a network feed as well.

"My initial assessment of only Jade Falcons following us is obviously in err. As such, there are much more about the Inner Sphere than just the Clans that you all should know about. If you have any questions about the Inner Sphere, the Clans, the Word of Blake, or ourselves, I am here to answer your questions.

I was busy the past weeks handling logistics issues that we have had since arriving on Terra, and as such did not speak much to most of you, I do apologise for that."

She has a stack of files and a portable computer unit with her.

[After getting a clean bill of health from the doctors, Kei's mulling around in the hangar, looking at the empty spot where Neo Getter Robo had once stood.]

... Fuck, I remember that thing saved our asses when we were on the verge of losing against Gore.

[And then her gaze shifts to Shin Getter and she frowns.]

Every Invader's converging back at the Pacific... and old man Saotome's gonna be there too.

[Her fists clench tightly.]

We can finally end it; he can't retreat and fight another day if we beat him there...   and we didn't come this far to drop the ball now!

[Mad's lying down in the arboretum, trying to nap. Key phrase being TRYING. That mission she went on went wrong in so many ways and had far too many eyeballs for this hero to even get the chance to drift off... and HOW the HELL did those invaders turn themselves into FREAKING PUPPIES?!]

Argh... shit's messed up...

2)

[Mad's looking through the part of the Hangar where several of the weapons are kept. She's pondering... Maria needed more firepower. A lot more. But what to pick out?]

Man... times like this I wish I actually learned more about these things than their fucking controls...

[Because at this rate... if Mad did this by herself she'd probably end up smashing her own things.]

Where's that Lowe guy when you need 'em?

(Note: This post is frontdated by a few days and takes place chronologically before 'War in the Pacific'.)

The middle of the night: while most are getting adequate rest for the massive battle ahead, the Chalice passes by a small but inhabited island in the Pacific.

It is here that Muginami requests a quick stop. She gathers her belongings - including that one red apple - and steps off the Chalice without saying a word, leaving only a note in front of Madoka's assigned room. Her destination: a nearby town. However, before she starts to walk there, she watches quietly as the fleet departs.

This was the right decision. What she did affected not only Madoka and Lan, but some of the people from the Chalice too. She didn't belong with them.

The ships soon vanish from sight, and Muginami finds herself alone, walking along a pristine shoreline not unlike the ones in Kamogawa. From here on out, she'd have to decide on what she'd do. No allegiances, no friends. It was almost like her childhood repeating itself, but maybe it was better this way...
