Scramble! Bernie PART II!

Bernie went completely crazy now. Whether it's from Chibodee's influence, or horror stories from girl mages, or maybe intimidation he got from his Zeon superiors, Bernie could be found in the gym doing just about anything...

He was going to be a brand new pilot, and a strong one too. He wasn't going to let anyone else down and he would try, try, to not say or believe again that he had no chance against any form of enemy.

Bernie was lifting weights, hitting the bags, attempting to lift his chin over a raised bar, pulling on the cable machine, running on treadmill, etc.

Yeah, he was going WAY too far.

The dumbells were simple, but he even attempt to lay under the larger barbells. OF course, he couldn't raise it too well - maybe ten pounds (4.5kg) or less total.

A few miles from the White Chalice, a huge shimmering portal appeared.

Nothing came out of it for over half an hour, then The Tower slowly rumbled through, along with the battered attack force sent a few days ago to deal with Dantoinne and the shifting entities. Almost every unit is heavily damaged.

Normally on the return, everyone is relieved and in high spirits, but this time is different. There's a palpable aura of despair surrounding the ship that's as obvious as the sun in the sky to anyone with even a glimmer of newtype potential.

Hayato appears on the Comm line. If anything, he looks even more impenetrable than normal.

"The mission was a success. Dantoinne is dead."

Hayato sits on the observation deck of The Tower, because it gets less traffic than the Chalice. He's been staring into the distance for a while now. Finally, he reaches into his pocket and pulls out his harmonica. After staring at it for a while longer, he starts to play a tune that some people here may have heard before.

It takes a while if you try to hunt her down but she is in the corner of a room, hiding behind furniture. She is crying and HUMMY is trying to cheer her up but it seems nothing is working. What do you do?)
