[[This is Gainer... Gainer got whooped... Well... he put up a good fight though but... All the same, Cynthia kicked his ass.

Worse than that, he lost his record thanks to her. Sure, he'd "lost" in a few missions, rather, he pulled out because King Gainer wasn't working. This time... he'd lost to a gamer, and therefore, lost his record, and title as Game Champ.


Secondarily, he was physically injured, and bandaged in the sick bay, laying in a bed and generally not being awake.

And he still hadn't seen Cynthia's face either, so there went that chance.

But, it's not as if visitors aren't allowed. He'll wake up eventually, if Cynthia doesn't wake him up first though he probably won't be glad to see anyone as he sits

The Visit [Locked to Yuunagi] [Backdated to before Four Cinderellas]

[The Rushbird left the White Chalice alongside the Straybird, unfortunately due to the whole spy situation Ichitaka had been forcing Yuunagi to not use the Straybirds teleporting abilities so they had to take the long way to what they presumed was a Graife sidelab.]

[Getting out of the white Super Robot Ichitaka takes a better look at the small lab.]

Somehow I expected more from it....

[During the mission Cheng had completely lost it. Breaking ranks and discipline and chasing after the Federation's Fafner unit piloted by Canon in a blind rage. Oh. And he also speared a faceless Asshimar pilot, but no one probably cares about that.]

[Have Cheng in his own Obstacle Course. Running laps through all the various things in it repeatedly in order to try get himself back together.]

[Bother him?]

Bitter taste of defeat

[Immediately after the mission, someone stayed behind on the island. Devon is lying down on the ground, staring at the sky and in general not acting like the place was under serious threat of turning into a burning lava hell not too long ago.

Nobody died this mission, except for Titans who deserved such a fate anyway. But this is an excuse.
The enemies were in overpoweringly large numbers. This too is an excuse.
It was not Devon's goal to secure the now-stolen core. Yet another excuse.

Because what she wanted to do was to teach the arrogant enemy Idolmasters a lesson. This did not happen, and she's not happy about it. Unpleasant thoughts turmoil in Devon's mind as her outside remains stoic as usual.]

[Later, when someone finally manages to coax Devon into returning to the White Chalice. Or she just grew bored and returned herself. But her mood's no better. If anything, it's worse.]

Life is... fundamentally unfair.
