Drop Aftermath (Locked to Haruka.)

[Having been seperated from White Chalice during the drop, both Super Robots now floated half dead in the waters quite a bit away from Tatsumiya Island.]

[Ichitaka on the other hand was doing much better than either machines, after finally coming to after the impact he restarted the systems of the Rushbird. Rushing out of the cockpit of the machine Ichitaka was hit by a sudden blast of sea air.  He couldn't see anything besides water...lots and lots of water.]

No time to think about that.

[Climbing over the partially wrecked machines Ichitaka tried to remember where the cockpit was on Imber.]

Right...here

[Reaching the back of the machine he carefully climbed down to where the cockpit was looking around for some sort of console to open it.]

There it is

[Finally finding it on the bottom side of where the cockpit  was he entered the open command hoping that the machine would still be able to open it.]

Haruka...why did you have to do this...

Eighth Minute

[So much data to hand over to the the higher-ups in Alvis.  Combat performance, his own physiological breakdown due to using the TSX, reports that the Festum were acting as far out as the moon... And before long Ryo is back onboard the White Chalice, eyes just as red as ever, and now in front of a new Fafner]

I have good news and bad news for everyone.  But I'll start with the bad because the good news is in response to it.

The fact is, when we came down to Tatsumiya Island and they lowered the shields, the island gave away its positioninng.  The Festum probably know right where the Island is, and needless to say there's certain things here we cannot let them get their hands on.  We just came from a rough battle, I know, and most of us are not in any condition to fight... plus Ichitaka and Haruka are still missing.

The good news is there's a plan.  It was devised a while ago and we're goinng to put it into motion.  Tatsumiya Island's an artificial island, so we can submerge it and move it safely to another location.  The White Chalice and the rest of the fleet can stay with it and conduct repairs and we should be ready to go in a little while.

... In the meantime, a small portion of the Island, called the "L-Boat" is going to stay behind as a diversionary measure.  Pilots and technincians are going to stay, and they can hold off the Festum so they're never the wiser of the truth.  The only problem is they're dangerously short on pilots with experience fighting the Festum... or even just familiar with their psionic attacks.  I'm the only member of the Island who's faced them so I'm going to be there, doing what I can to help both on and off the battlefield.  With this new Nothung-model Fafner I should be able to pilot again safely... if only for a little while.

I can't and won't order anyone to go.  I don't have the rank, after all.  I want to believe we'll all make it back but at the same time I can't promise something like that.  But at the same time, I respect all of you, as well as your decisions.  If you want to come along, by all means do so.

[So yeah.  This is the IC post for people who want to "volunteer" their characters to go on the L-Boat route.  This isn't going to be sunshine and lollipops, so don't expect that.  But feel free to use this to say why/how your character is going on the L-Boat, interact with Ryo, whatever.]

[[Gainer has been made of rage face and unsociable tendencies since he got back.

This is nothing new, aside the frustration. Shortly after getting out of King Gainer, he was right in his room. Though, considering who shared his room, that wasn't going to be the place for him to play, so, while everyone is busying themselves with repairs, and preparations, and possibly panic and confusion...

Gainer just looks for a place to play his game. He'll try the atrium until people get to bothering him too much, in which he'll move to a lounge.

Fortunately, playing his game comes with a screen, which he doesn't mind turning on so people can watch him play OverBattler.

The stage is set on the deck of a large ship, and enemies keep dropping onto the ship's hull.

Yes, this is very familiar.

However, he doesn't play the stage conventionally. He only attacks the enemies through melee, and the moment he offs one, he pulls back in a defensive pose. He repeats this, over, and over, and over. He keeps aiming for a higher score and a shorter time.

[Cheng was going over the whole mission log. Including the major fact of SKYSCRAPER OUT OF NOWHERE ON THE SHIP. How that happened... Cheng knew that Maya had something to do with it. As did whatever deal he made with her. But there was much that he still did not know.]

Considering, though, that one of her roommates hates her, that wouldn't really be an option. A rookie mistake. I'm sorry you paid the price for me, Type-3. I promise I'll see to your repairs. But what to do in the meantime...


[He wonders how hard it would be, or rather how long it would take, to make a trip to the Earth Cradle for the old Type-0. He'd be out of commission for a long time anyway, and for all he knows Feff has shipped the contents of the Cradle's hangar back to Tesla-Leicht to protect them from scavengers. Nothing else for it...]
