[Hayato is standing at edge of the front docking bay of The Tower, watching as three enormous trucks are being loaded into his ship. It's hard to read the man, but if you had to hazard a guess, you'd probably want to say he looks lost in thought. Without even noticing it, he's started talking quietly to himself.]

We have the machine. Now it's just a matter of finding someone who can survive it. Of course, in the end it's just a replacement, but hopefully it'll be enough.

Hi there, White Chalice guys! My name is Lieutenant Colonel Misato Katsuragi, and I'm gonna be traveling with you for a while. See, I need to get back to Japan, and your ship AI said I sounded like a Soldier of Love and Justice, so he agreed to give me a lift.

Plus, an old friend of mine is aboard, and I couldn't resist the chance to drop by and say hi, after all.

[She decides not to mention her "friend"'s name so as not to be too much of an embarassment, but the video does clearly show Evangelion Unit 02 in the background.]

[There's a new ship that has joined the White Chalice Convoy. It's much smaller than the other ships present and appears to be a civilian model and has "CLOCKMAKER" painted onto the side in brightly colored letters. Before anyone can get too nervous about this sudden appearance, the captain of the ship contacts the fleet.]

I look around here and I see a bunch of damn fool heroes who want to stand up against bullies like Adventus. I can't help but think to myself "A group of strong principled men and women like this are still slaves to logistics. Wouldn't they benefit from having a top class mechanic to help keep their ships and mechs in working order?"

Then I think "Why Orlando, you're a top class mechanic. Why don't you do it?"

Orlando Desmarais, Captain of the Clockmaker and traveling mecha repairman, at your service. And I've got a strong feeling you're gonna need my services, if you don't mind me saying.

[For most people who are passing by in the Chalice's halls, one would be surprised to see that suddenly, one of the walls began to ripple as it became the color of quicksilver. Spreading out, it soon passed across the ships halls until finally, a young man stood there dressed in black and magenta. A magenta camera hung around his neck as well.]

[A few hours later, Tsukasa Kadoya is wandering the halls, taking pictures of everything in sight. Fortunately for his sake, he had a place to develop them, and a good supply of film as well. So he's in your grill, taking pictures without asking as in his wont.]
