[Laura's assembled her squad of recruits - those she could invite, persuade, or cajole into volunteering to help out with her morale-boosting Valentine's Day plan. She's just carrying out her final inspection before unleashing them on the ship...]

All right! Everyone's ready? Your costumes are okay? You know what to do?

[Of course, she's not asking anyone to so anything she wouldn't herself! She's found a toga-like white minidress somewhere, and supplemented it with a halo, wings, and a toy bow with matching quiver of heart-tipped arrows. How good a Cupid costume has she - or even you, maybe - managed in your case?]

[The latter-most here. Even though it's been almost a month since she arrived, Naiza's been having...complications with getting used to things on the Chalice. Besides directions of course, and that's due to Laura's help.

Seeing something like this happening doesn't help though...]

...You've got to be kidding me...

Ranna has heard of it, and even sent out a gift. But actually seeing them in costume is still of a... surprise.

Watching the cupids wander around, she has an amused smile on her face.

(Letriel is filing her now stubs of horns to make sure they grow back properly before stopping and taking a look around in a mix of confusion and disgust.)

What in the name of the Nine Circles are you humans up to now? The prison seems unusually...fluffy today. It's like the walls of this asylum are made of plush toys and are trying to hug me to death. It's enough to make me hurl.

(Tatsu is running through the Chalice handing out paper mache flowers, chalk candy hearts, and other Valentine goodies. It doesn't look like she is part of the cupid squad but that's not stopping her.)

See this Clanner walking about in joy, a box in one hand, and his cheeks stuffed

"Ch'colate!" He mumbles with a full mouth. "This mst be a hol'day of Ch'colate!"

And there's a second clanner too, momentarily snapped out of his funk by the presence of chocolate. Like his totem, he's looking about with twitchy interest and sniffing, trying to find the source.

"Where are all these Spheroid treats coming from?"

He's practically drooling.

Oenone didn't quite know what she was getting herself into and is tugging the edge of the miniskirt down to see if it can cover more of her legs. A lifetime in the antimaterialist, militaristic Green Storm and a strict Christianity has left her woefully inexperienced with this kind of dress. With the color her cheeks are now, you could call them the red storm.

"Ah, yes, let's begin."

[And Patrick's just looking plain silly in the outfit that he's been given. Still, one can't deny his enthusiasm in this.]

As a native from the country of love, there's no way I can't do my part for this great day...

[And then he arm pumps, the quiver of heart tipped toy arrows rattling on his back as he did so.]

Not to mention this'll score me all sorts of points with all the single women on board! Oh yeah!

[... He said the soft part loud and the loud part soft. Oh Patrick...]

[Raynor doesn't seem to care about the day. He's too busy reading a fantasy book that, judging from the cover, may contain the following: dragons, snow, thrones, people in horned helmets.]

[For this day Lily is wearing her fashion show dress again, making everything appear more elegant already when she walks down the corridor. Treize would approve.]

[And among the people dressed as little angels, there's an actual one, in his usual tunic. For this he's got an old bow out of storage, and has got a bunch of heart arrows from who knows where. He seems a bit split between enthusiastic and renuent, though.

When Laura asks, he raises his hand, like a student wanting to ask a question]

Uh, well, I know the love cherub work a bit, but I don't actually have love arrows anymore. The Goddess of Love gets cranky if you get into her business, lately.
