Route A: Jeremy Gatsby
1) [Oh hey. It's that historian made of ham, making his way through the cells. And holy cow does he look cross!]
RGNK! There are things I regret we must discuss; regarding certain actions you have taken!
[Admittedly any of you could probably get his attention if you really wanted to.]
2) [It's that time again! The time when an Adventus general gets you alone in a room and starts asking you questions and-]
I figured, considering your current predicament, it would be fair to show you this.
[The lights in the room dim, and a slide projector moves down from the ceiling to begin playing on one of the walls. Jeremy lets the speech play its whole way through before finally ending it.]
So then, I must ask how do you feel about all of that? Admittedly I have my own concerns about this declaration by the Red Comet and Zeon itself, both objective and subjective, but that may not be the case for you! After all, a month stands between us and battle with the forces of Axis Zeon, and as a historian I know more than most just how much can be done in the span of a thirty days.

Oh, I'm sure you're not going to regret it at all. You're a man always after new information. [[Historical, granted, but it's all the same in his Braille books.]]

And needless to say I am most disappointed in hearing about your hand in the capture of these pilots, let alone what you've done to one of them!

[[LowKey]] You'd best talk to Lucas 'bout dat shit.
[[RGNK]] Granted, I assume you're talking about flipping the switch on the mole, am I right? And you already know about the concerts so...

Adventus has just brought the coming of more war upon Earth rather than the opposite.
[He gives Jeremy a particularly vicious look. Though he has not encountered this General before he was as wary as he could be.]
Zeon won't just be satisfied with taking back their regent and defeating your army... they'll want blood for every loss they felt from both the Titans and the One Year War.
[He's a soldier. He knows the mindset. With the motivations stated behind them they won't stop unless they're crushed into the dirt and at most can only be delayed.]

Adventus's charter says nothing about ending war, merely the abolition of using giant robots.
[... But then his expression grows more serious.]
But you are right. Situations like this have happened time and again throughout history and as a man concerned with the past I can see that.

[Cheng's distaste at being in the presence of someone who he believes had authorized or played a part in the messing of his grey matter lessens... albeit in a miniscule amount.]
I know little of history outside that of what Gucun has allowed in... or re-written... but I know those situations. I have seen them and been in them myself.

Whoever wins, I hope it's over fast. I don't think the Earth could survive another long Federation/Zeon war.
no subject
One year.... being considered "long". How technology's advanced to make that happen...
Either way, the Federation also has to worry about its conflict with ZAFT as well.
Nevertheless! The surest and quickest way to end a war is to see to it that it never starts in the first place! Do you understand what I mean by that?

As it stands, it might even cause problems with the PreDestiny Operations.

All the same, the question to concern yourself with is what will be done in the intervening time? Wars have been averted in the span of minutes, after all!

That's...exceptionally poor timing.

The Federation is already engaged in battles against ZAFT, and opening yet another front to worry about is never a simple thing.
The question now is: what will the Chalice do in the meantime?

Huh...
[He thinks for a moment.]
This seems excessive.

Zeon and the Federation have so much bad blood that if they wished for war, they'd find an excuse for it. The barbarism of the Titans certainly could give them reason enough for it!

"I told you this would happen." She glares at him with an icy ferocity.
Despite the anger on her face, seeing Char on the video, speaking so, made her stomach drop between her knees.
no subject
Factions of Zeon have already raised arms against the Federation already, this is simply making it official. If it were not your capture, then something else could have easily happened instead and the result would be the same!
Don't deny it... a large, large section of Zeon still desires to war with the Federation and any excuse would be sufficient for them!

[Philip's been watching out for Adventus, to make sure they don't notice him doing any lookups or contacting Shoutaro. He's trying to act normal as he spots Jeremy. Of course, Philip doesn't actually understand the concept of normal, so how successful he is is debatable]
Why are you looking for him?
no subject
I wish to speak to him because the good doctor has, over the course of Adventus's battles with the Chalice, crossed lines he had no right to!
As a general of Adventus, RGNK can hide behind his status to keep from being criticized by his subordinates... and thus it falls on me to do what needs to be done and say what needs to be said!
