'Combat Instructor' again, huh?

[Calvina wraps her jacket up a little tighter and looks out across the Siberian permafrost from her vantage point.]

Everyone on this 'exodus' is a civilian...they want to know how to fight because they have to. No, they chose to. Throwing themselves out in the world like this, and asking me of all people to help hold them up? They don't even know what they're getting into. Even the 'volunteers'.

Tch. Well, at least the pay's good, and they're sticking around with my room and board...

Around all these landships? We hardly have the manpower for that. For one thing most of the Witches are huddling up to space heaters until they get emergency orders. We're just helping out the local militia right now. I suppose you're a Silhouette Machine pilot?

People who are not prepared to face death should not bother to fight in the first place.

You may be able to teach them unit controls or muster them around, but we all know real combat is something else altogether. A lot of them will die either way.

I merely meant the situation... Civilians fleeing from their homes in larg groups, demanding training from the people guarding them. Going into a world they do not comprehend.

Calling it a military would be somewhat overstating things though. A militia would be perhaps a much more realistic level of how much they would be able to build themselves up to...
