Gentlemen Adventurer's Boardgame Night.
*You see an announcement posted in front of Herb's Clubroom*
"Open for Public.
This Friday is Gentlemen Adventurer's Club's Boardgame Night! We'll be playing Castles and Cockatrices 13.5th edition game mastered by yours truly, the president. Bring a sixth level character that you're not attached too much!
Feel free to take a copy of a character sheet inside and a rulebook copy in case you need to refresh your memory about the rules!"
*Of course you know that Castles and Cockatrices is a popular fantasy pen-and-paper rpg. The way this game still exists now in the age of virtual reality and giant robot shows how ubiquitous and popular the game is. If you read the rulebook, it's simple enough, with standard fantasy classes and races and all that jazz.*
1. Discuss about his plan?
2.The game night. It's a mingle thread. Feel free to join anytime, comment about the game, introduce your fantasy characters, and talk both uh... in character and out of character.... with your character...
Feel free to jump into the thread and comment at any time. Or act even if your fantasy character haven't been introduced.

2. The Game Thread
You all are in a tavern...
yo dawg I heard you like pen and paper RPGs...
"I order a flagon of beer."
One that his character's constitution is seemingly unable to take.

Oh, that's not me. I'm just his squire. That's him.
[Werter points at Prometheus at the other end of the table, who looks up from his character sheet and waves.]

[...Wait, the hell is Rossiu doing here? Well, kinda bored, and he couldn't exactly hang around Simon... so he put those new fangled reading skills of his to the test.]
Uh... its one of these for a streetwise check, correct?
[Holding up a simple d20, Rossiu looks it over with a wary eye. He had what was called a... Cleric, he believed.]
no subject
"One flagon of beer and one tankard of our best ale!" she said.
And yes, Rossiu, that should be a streetwise check. Then you should roll the dice. Too bad that it's not a cleric's best skill though.
Meanwhile, all of you heard people whisper. "The evil dragon trio has burned another town..." they said. "And King Smith just let them get away with that..."
Anyway, Mister Nikolai, didn't know that you play board games.

[Prometheus waves his hands in the air.]
Cough. I mean, I order some cheap ale for myself and try to listen to the rumours.
no subject
"My apologies for being late, Mechwarrior Herb. It took me a while to...write up a backstory."
He set several sheets of paper down in front of you, covered in typed notes with inked corrections her and there, along with a family tree diagram.
Then he places his character sheet on top. "I believe these are the technical specifications for a bard. Ah, and said bard asks one of the laborers where this dragon trio came from..."

Warden deviousness, Matthew.
no subject
[Rossiu remarks out of character to Matt, before looking back at his options.]
I try to recall whether or not I've heard anything about this... King Smith.
[That's another d20 rolling.]

Suddenly, before any of your questions can be answered, zombies burst into the tavern from every windows and doors! Chaos and screams erupt as the zombies start chewing people!
no subject
"I use my 'Songs of Origin' ability to sing the nearest zombies into the tavern floor!"
no subject
"I overturn the table to serve as cover and cast Magic Missile."
no subject
[She takes a seat, with only three sheets of paper.]
=+=Following the Zombies in, a masked figure attempts to throw knives at a non occupied Zombie.=+=
"I Roll to range attack with throwing knives." [Picking up a D20 and a D4] "It's still this damage right?"
no subject
[Prometheus raises his finger, soundlessly declaring something, and throws some dice.]
Sir Rupert laughs at the minions of evil and charges at them with his fiery blade, swinging it for... +15 attack bonus? 3d6+15 damage +2d8 fire? Really? This can't be right. Let me see that sheet.
[Struggle between Werter and Prometheus, proceed!]
By the way, feel free to jump into the game as if you've been there from the beginning
With that distraction, all of your attacks managed to kill most of the zombies. There are still some stray zombies chewing people, but none of you are in immediate danger anymore.
But suddenly! You hear a load roar. The tavern suddenly start to catch fire! And the roof is collapsing! Oh no!
no subject
"Nice singing there."
[Said with a smile to Matthew.]
=+="You guys need to get out of here, now!!"=+=
no subject
[Prometheus gesticulates wildly.]
Sir Rupert the Amazing smashes through the wall while yelling "oh yeah". I can't believe he actually bought the ability to do that.
no subject
"He also finishes off the remaining zombies that are grappling people with a bodkin."

It's a giant dragon, its blue scales gleam under the moonlit night. And on top of it, stands a person clad in full plate armor.
"This town has been infested by undeads. By the right granted to me by King Smith, I, Spencerius the Paladin, the Rider of the Land Dragon, will cleanse this town.... with FIRE!"
And the dragon starts to spew fires at the buildings around it!
no subject
Sir Rupert challenges the other knight to a duel.
As for me, I pull out a pie from my backpack and throw at him.
[Prometheus just stares.]
no subject
"Jace the Bard raises a shaking finger at the Paladin. You! You were the one who killed...My Father! he says."
Matthew grimaces at the mention of the word 'father'.
"I should make a composure roll to keep Jace from attacking the dragon rider head on, quiaff?"
no subject
"I surreptitiously prepare a Buff and Light spell." He says, rolling his dice for his very low target number Deception check.

What are you talking about?

Do you overbeings tell stories too?
no subject
Over Being have limited contact with each other, but there are at least some stories they tell. Mostly related to the race's past.
no subject
So you overbeings also have stories. Do you overbeings do make-believe though? Do you even have fictiions?
no subject
I doubt storytelling is something my race encourages participation in.

Once upon a time, there... was...
[Texotic looks around, as if searching for something to serve as a source of inspiration.]
A door.

no subject
[Pause as Texotic realizes that most doors do that.]
No, to another dimension. Yes - a dimension that is... black and empty.
[She seems to be probing the words carefully before forming full sentences.]
Almost completely empty. Almost.

[Quick, describe it! But how...?]
You cannot describe it. You cannot see it, but it is watching you.
Always watching, in the darkness.
