[Amuro is just... staring, up at the White Zeta, currently standing in the hangar and in need of some serious repair. He's clearly been working hard on trying to get it fixed as fast as possible, but he seems almost... dejected, by the work.]

Not good enough... Its just not good enough...

We need... to develop something.

[Amuro may have specifically called you to meet at some point in the hangar, knowing your expertise in machinery and/or experimental technologies. Or perhaps you heard a rumour, and came to see whats up.]

Something that might give us an extra edge the next time we fight the Inspectors... and anyone else threatening the Earth Sphere.

The White Zeta wasn't a powerful enough suit to counter the enemy. But even as its pilot, I was barely able to find a way to slow Wendolo down... even then, thats probably because he was just messing with me.

We were caught by surprise. We had no way to plan and to top it off you were handicapped by low mobility because the fight was in the ship... and we didn't have anything on this Wendolo guy either.

[Ryou shrugged lightly before giving Amuro a look.]

I'm not arguing about getting better weapons and more training... but those things alone won't win a fight.

Fight dirty, use every advantage you can get, don't play by any rules they'd expect.

But most of all, hope you have a lot of luck.

I did play each advantage I could get. The only thing I stopped short of was nuking the whole ship. Which would have been blindingly stupid for the sake of destroying just one unit.

Getting lucky in a fight is one thing, but relying on it is not a way to survive. If I had stuck to that in the One Year War, I'd have been dead long before I ever reached A Baoa Qu.

Hah... right... I keep forgetting you're a big shot. My bad for thinking surface pilots are mostly loud idiots, arrogant idiots or little kids all obsessed with fair fights.

Aznable didn't really leave much of an impression.

Pity we can't grab one of the others and tear apart their machinery. We'd get a good idea on how to kill him the next time.

Of course, that would somewhat need the units being similar. And from the battle reports, I don't think thats the case... others would have needed that teleportation.

Hmh... Maybe since he's the leader he decided he could keep all the best tech for himself.... but I digress.

They've all had to be built from the same materials in some way, or have some kind of common technology. Some form of uniting factor.

Maybe... But they're apparently part of some wider, galactic community - enough to want us out at least. And given all the different design philosophies on Earth alone...

But, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it, I suppose.
