[Vlaska is now undertaking another exercise. What is it you ask? Something that would help him remember names and faces. In other words. He's pulling Mail duty across the ship. Ferrying messages - no matter how trivial they are across the ship to other people. Interestingly this also helps him with his navigation skills.]

[He's looking up at you curiously. Do you have a letter you want for him to send to someone? Are you getting a letter? Do you just want to scratch him behind the ear because of that adorable postman's hat somebody decided to make for him just for this occassion?]

[Neptune's too busy moving your forelegs around to notice that. It's like she's trying to make you dance or something.]

Hmm? Hey, hey; now that I think about it...what's up with this adorable hat? It looks like a mailman's...

[And with that he lets out happy meow, using his tail to nudge over what was more or less a tiny mailbag with the words - "CAT MAIL - SEND/GET YES?"]

So what kinda mail does kitty send?

[He's now pawing a letter out of the mailbag. Letters. This cat is actually delivering letters around the ship. THAT'S JUST ADORABLE.]

Since you look pretty serious about your work, why don't I give you something to send, huh?

Let's see... [She pulls out a small notepad from her jacket and starts scribbling something on it...]

[And Vlaska's just watching you Nep. His ear flicking back and forth as he watched you write rapidly on that notepad of yours, wondering what was going on behind your brain in a deep rolling russian burr.]

Aaaaaaannnddd... done!

[She hands the mail-cat two folded notes. The one in her left hand is marked with an amateur drawing of what appears to be a bowl of pudding, while the one in the right is decorated with the word SPECIAL.]

Alrighty! So...the pudding one is for the kitchen crew, and the addressee for the special one is written inside.

This is very important, so listen up! No matter what happens: don't open the special until you're done sending all the other letters, okay?

[Vlaska looked a little confused. What would that special one be? CURIOUS CURIOUS KITTY.]

Mew?

[Still. He has mail to deliver. So... send all the other letters... especially the Kitchen one... then the special letter. He thinks he can remember that.... maybe. Cue Vlaska adorably trying to get the letters into his mailbag with relative success.]

Heehee, it's a surprise! Now go on!

[Naturally, the one meant for the kitchen crew is a request for more pudding portions for herself.

The special one, whenever Vlaska chooses to open it, is actually meant for him:
