Have you ever believed in a mirage?
[Its bleeding early in the morning - the sun is but short while away from rising. And where is Sam at this time? Training intensely! But not with his sword surprisingly - though it lies close by. Sam's on the deck of the ship - letting loose with a series of punches and kicks. What kind of style is he using? Its difficult to place - there's plenty of capoeira and judo peppered in - especially with how he's tossing around the dummies he's set up pretty darned hard. As in more than one. It seems he likes to practice on multiple targets at once.]
Mmmh... nothing like a good morning warm up...
[He rolls his neck in a relaxed manner as he flicks his sheathed sword up from the ground with his foot and snatches it out of the air as it dropped - resting it along his shoulders as he watched the sun rise. He pauses to look over at you with a raised eyebrow.]
I didn't think anyone else would bother waking up this early.

[And Sam's going to parry that blow, and reply with a blow to her sword hand!]

[Which would have worked, had it not been for Neptune's short stature! She uses that size advantage to quickly duck and slip away from the precise counter, given that Sam's initial parry was strong enough to turn her own blow's momentum on her!]
And you're not even wearing the suit!? I'm gonna look bad if this keeps up! Okay - Plan B!
[There's barely any pause as she goes on the offensive again, flipping the sword into reverse grip and closing the distance to the master swordsman in two steps - the first to accelerate, the second to change direction - to attempt a horizontal strike on his right arm!]

[With that he's going to back flip - the wooden blade came close to brushing his skin. If he had his suit he could have avoided it completely instead of having a close call though.]
Hm.. not bad.. almost got me that time...
[and he retaliates with a charging strike - swinging his own sword in a rising vertical strike - and following up with a downwards one!]

[And at that Neptune reflexively hops backwards! It's fortunate for her that she did, otherwise Sam's upward attack would have very well struck her - in fact, the tip of the blade misses her right arm by a hair's breadth. What's not so fortunate is that her own sword takes the hit and is wrenched out of her grip by the force of Sam's strike! Oh darn!
But is all hope lost? Not quite! At that very moment, she raises her left arm to catch the blade as it's knocked into the air. Having held it in reverse with her right hand means she recaptures the blade in a straight grip with her left! Now that's lucky positioning...or is it?]
As a CPU, I've got standards to keep too! Deyaah!
[She keeps her sword raised as Sam swings down! Both weapons collide with a not-so-loud wooden crash! Looks like a deadlock!]

Heh! Good... but not... good... enough!
[And Neptune will find herself getting a tremendous boot to the midsection as Sam is now charging at her, letting loose with a flurry of blows!]

[That really is a powerful kick, and if Neptune was just a regular human, it would've definitely cracked a rib or two...or three. But in this case, she only gets knocked back from the blow, effectively stunned.]
Oh, flippin' Tetris blocks! You've gotta be kidding me! A QTE?!
[She does manage to raise her wooden sword in front of her to defend herself, but it doesn't stay a sword for much longer. Sam's blade mode effectively turns the practice weapon into a pile of scrap wood before she can recover.]

Out of practice then?
1/2
I didn't think I'd ever be glad about getting headbutted so many times...!
...Neppu?! The sword!
[And only now does she realize this. What she's holding is the only piece left: the handle.]
2/2
[She pauses.]
No, no, no - now I just sound like some no-life battle robot! Transforming to fight is just my style! This just makes getting it back priority number one!

[He's going to walk past Nep with a grin, patting her shoulder before plucking the Murasama off the ground.]
But I can sympathise if you lost your weapon of choice... I'd like the chance to be able to spar with you again once you get it.
