Live Fast. Die Young. Bad Girls do it Well.

Haman stirred slowly, she couldn't remember what had happened. The trip back to Axis, and the return journey to the Chalice had all happened while she was slept, her body desperately healing the damage battle had caused. She had no idea how long she had been here, and what dastardly political moves had been made during her down time.
Her hands gripped the starched sheets, confused. Her first thought was only This is not my bed. quickly followed by. Where is Mineva? She sat up quickly, cried out and fell back down into her pillow, biting her bottom lip to stifle. Looking up at the ceiling, she found she did not recognize it, but the smell and sounds the Chalice's Medical section where known enough to her from her many trips visiting Char, and that alone was the only thing that settled the sick fear in her stomach. Closing her eyes tightly, straining to remember, but finding little to answer her questions.

Haman looked up from the ledger in her hands, it was a friendly face she had not expected to see.
"Markus. Hello." She smirked a little, and laid the papers face down in her lap. "I think I'll live. How's my Quebely? Did you manage to get it back together?"
no subject
"Mineva asked me to fix it up extra pretty so, you're set!" Also, a lie!

"Duct tape?" Haman sat up quickly in her bed, about ready to jump out and strangle the poor mechanic, but her body said now and she fell back.
"Please tell me this is another of your jokes!" She put her hand over her face and remember the time he had painted the Qubelely without her permission. What a nightmare that had been.
"I'm going to kill you when I get out of here if there is tape on my mobile suit you know that right?"
no subject
"Yeah, I know that. Don't worry, it's bein worked on. But there's parts that... I don't know shit about. It's probably the stuff with the funnelcakes or whatever. I think some of your guards down there haven't gotten it through there skull that they need to listen to me too when I say "ORDER THE FUCKING PARTS!""
He doesn't apologize if his yelling makes her ears ring. "But mostly I just came to see how you were doin."

Haman groaned at his shouting. She had been awake only a few hours, did he have to be so abrasive at a time like this?
"You have to talk to Char directly for those kinds of things, but if you have a list of the parts you need I'll send the memo back to Axis myself and have them delivered for you." She rubbed her temples. "My guards are a careful and zealous lot, if they where not I would decapitate them all and them know it. Don't take it out on them, they where only doing their jobs. I will secure your the parts you need."

"So, you're laid up on injury... do you finally get to sit back and fuckin relax for a minute? Or is it all paperwork while you're in bed?"
no subject
Haman almost laughed.
Almost.
"The day I get to 'relax' the war had better be over." She sighed and frowned. "I would take a meeting on my death bed if it meant the betterment of Zeon, which is to say, yes, it has all been work since the moment I awoke. I got to 'relax' for the week and a half I was asleep after all." She paused to smirk weakly. "I'm sure it's a feeling you know well. All the hard work you put in for us all in the Hanger. I don't say it often enough, but I value your skills, and am grateful for the work you put in for us. I do apologize about the parts issue, but I'm quite certain you understand why with out explanation. If you should ever be in the position for a change of factions, be sure to let me know. I could pay you much better than they do here."
no subject
"Though... I wonder... if you were sick on top of being injured... do you think they'd leave you alone and let you get away from not working?" he says, standing up from the seat he was in and pulling out a strange little contraption from... hammerspace. Nobody asks where Drivers or Buckles come from, they're just there when needed. "I think I can do something about making you sick, if you think you can get a break in. Everyone deserves a break they can 'enjoy'."
no subject
"What do you mean?" Haman peaked an eyebrow. If bullet holes in her chest weren't enough to keep the council docile for a shot while, perhaps the boy was onto something. She watched him pull the funny contraption from no where and began to fiddle with it.
"I'm a bit confused, but my interest is peaked. Go on."

Slapping the device on his waist, he calls out HENSHIN as he's surrounded in green armor and a flat-topped helmet.
"Surely this will just make you ill, and pass out. If we get the gas out of here fast enough, I won't get in any trouble either."
no subject
"Wait, you're serious about this? It won't be contagious will it?" What the hell, it would be nice to not have to face the music for another day or two. She shrugged a little, if anything went wrong she would just say the boy attacked her and the Chalice would find themselves short one mechanic. Either way.
"Alright."

SMOG POISON
The room fills up quickly, but he passes the lance near Haman then starts wiping it around the vents before it gets too thick. Fortunately its mostly sucked into the vents where, in theory, it would dissipate so much it stopped being a problem.
no subject
Haman realized just a moment to late this was perhaps a bad idea. The smog clouded the room and despite herself she took a big lung full of it before he tried to clear it away.
Chocking and sputtering in her to hands Haman closed her watery eyes, the smoke felt hot on her lungs and burned her eyes. She wondered briefly how someone could not notice this? But then, the mechanic had never steered her wrong before, hadn't he?

"And now, for our scapegoat." he says, swiping another card, this one summoning a spider-like monster.
"And, we're off! This is the thing that got you sick! It sneaked on board!" he says, soon chasing the spider monster out of the room, which causes a ruckus amongst the guards and MarKus who gives his staged chase.
no subject
Haman nearly screamed when he made the spider appear. She wasn't afraid of spiders, per say, but this one was... not normal.
It was quickly followed with a general sense of vileness growing in the pit of her stomach.
"This is certainly the oddest thing you've talk me into." She laid back down, her limp pink locks laying carelessly on her pillow. "God you're right, this is awful already." She coughed into her hand, her chest heaving heavily. And yet she smirked at him. "Should I scream and play this up, or did you think this through that far?" On that same note, he should probably change back before someone caught them both red handed.
