Every time the Invaders have poked their noses into human business, Hayato has responded with a flurry of activity and energy, frantically organizing everyone around him and doing everything he can to prepare for the encounter.

This time, he has no ship of his own. His army has shrunk down to its core of most loyal and skilled troops, all of whom know what to do. Zoldark has already mobilized the armies of Earth, probably with far more proficiency than Hayato himself could. Shin Getter Robo is in top condition. Hayato himself has given command of his army over to his most trusted (if NPC) lieutenant. This time he will be going as a simple warrior.

There's nothing left to do.

Hayato Jin, commander, murderer, terrorist, pilot, and hero, stands on the deck of the White Chalice, stares at the tiny point of light in the sky that is Saturn, and waits.

[Hayato doesn't say or do anything, but there's a subtle change in the atmosphere that implies he's aware of and welcomes her presence. A moment of silent camaraderie.]

The shifters were more annoying to fight than Invaders could ever manage.

It's nice to have an enemy so evil that some stupid faction on Earth won't try to make deals with them.

Anyone who DOES try is too stupid to be a huge threat anyways.

So we're going to wipe out an entire species with this fight. Sounds like a lot of fun.

[Especially since they can get away with it on the account that the Invaders are out to rip, tear and eat everyone.]

The universe isn't big enough for Humans and Invaders to coexist. If we don't wipe them out in this fight, it'll be the next one, or the one after that.

[Hayato probably knew he was there. His face certainly isn't giving it away one way or the other.]

Someone always has to. At least I don't feel like I'm doing it alone anymore.

...A lot of bad guys try to destroy Earth by dropping a huge rock on it these days.

"Why? All appears in readiness. Clan Wolf will not let you fight the Invaders by yourself. There appears little to brood over, quiaff?" He was as yet unaware that Hayato had retired his command.

"Trying to figure out what I forgot. The Invaders never do what you expect them to."

He hung his head for a moment. "It's the waiting."

"I did garrison duty on the former worlds of the Free Rasalhaque Republic for several years. I know about waiting. The one thing I learned...is that you cannot make battle begin by force of will, quineg?" He laughs, a deep bark. "It will be some hours before we are even within naval sensor range. Let us go to have a drink, to find partners for coupling-" yeah, did he tell him about that part of Clan culture? "-to find a game and keep ourselves sharp with it."

All things considered it's time we drag the big guns out for at least this.

You're sure you can do it? Even Saotome couldn't bring out the FULL potential.

Sure I'm sure. If I could handle making it absorb all the Getter Rays on Earth that's a pretty damn good sign I can handle whatever we need it to do.
