After the previous mission, White Chalice's hangar is seeing new arrivals as 5 mechs are moving in, all bearing the following insignia:



The lead mech has already parked, and the pilot has exited the cockpit.

"I am Star Captain Ranna of Clan Wolf's Delta Galaxy. I do apologize for the... inappropriate timing of the Circle of Equals, but it was done under extenuating circumstances. This is my Command Star, and it is with great honor that my warriors and I set foot on Terra."

"This is an OmniMech, the Warhawk."

She then gestures to the other mechs, "Those two are Timberwolves, that is an Executioner, and that is a Gargoyle."

At the very least he now has the names for inventory taking.

"A'ight. Omnimech Warhawk. And two Timberwolves and..." He repeats and writes.

"Christ, this is already boring, but... Major said I gotta do it... Plus, I guess it'll help when I have to fix it later." Fix it? Haha, he's implying he'll have to fix it later! "So... what do they do? Weapons and, awesome shit and powers and all that good junk."

"They contain fusion engines, ferro-fibrous armor, and internal endo-steel structure. Between the armor and the internal skeletal structure are myomer. They are an artificial analog to muscles, using electrical currents to allow the Mechs their ability to move as such."

She smiles slightly, "As for the weapons, we have energy, ballistic and projectile. These are OmniMechs, and thus the weapons and even certain equipment are in OmniPods. This allows for easy switching of weapons."

Which should be good news for him.

Though he's not 100% on all those metals, it actually makes sense to him. He's a mechanic, not just an inventory taker right now.

"Cool cool. So, any tricks besides that? Some kind of... fuck... crazy ass energy burst or transformation stuff going on. Doesn't sound like it runs on anything mystical, magical, or dimensional, so, I'm not expecting any miracles anytime soon."

"Neg. The only mechanics that may be dimensional in nature is our jumpships' Kearny-Fuchida drives that enable faster-than-light travel."

[[MarKus looks a bit distracted at that comment, like he's thinking of something else.]]

"Oh, yeah." [[He wipes his hand on his pants, yanno, a clean part, not that his hands were dirty to begin with.]] "Name's MarKus Haley, ace mechanic and Rider-in-training. You'll probably be seein a lot of me when you guys start gettin beat up. And you're from the same place as Resnick so... there's probably a few customs and shit you might wanna familiarize yourself with. Mostly... talking shit over communications during battles."

"That is something I noticed," she says with a wry smile.

"My Trinary would appreciate learning more about the customs on Terra."

"Well... Maybe you'll pick up on it faster than he did, Cap." Screw names!

"We... sure as hell don't have a real military structure. We're just a group of mostly cool people trying to save the world. Some of us... do this naturally, others pick it up by habit, but, there's this thing, 'calling attacks' that a lot of people do. It sort of serves as a warning, and threat. I don't think you wanna get hit in the back of the head with a kick backed up with a few megatons of force behind it."

"What?" The heck did she just say? Quaff? Isn't that a bottle or something?

"Well... no... Usually a sign of impending doom really. If you're gonna yell out "RIDER KICK" chances are you're not hoping for a surrender, and you're probably mid-kick to begin with."

"It's kind of a personality thing too. Like, if you're just going to shoot a regular gun, there's no need, but, yanno, big guns, with big results... thats when you wanna threaten and warn people. Kind of like... you're planning on making sure they DIE when you hit them with that shot."
