First Note | The Ace Appears

(You here a mecha landing in the hangar and decide to investigate. You soon see a new mecha, specifically a new Desu unit in the hangar. However this Desu unit is quite different from the Claimer class units. The cockpit opens to reveal a woman in her late 20s. She jumps down with unusual grace and ease before turning to see you.)

My name is Seiren Kurokawa, pilot of the Desu Ellen. I would like to speak to the one in charge.

(Seiren is walking around the Chalice. She isn't looking for anything in particular, she is just trying to get familiar with the lay out of the Chalice. Bother?)

[Well, that was fast. Sora nods.] All right. We'll start in 15 seconds, on my mark.

[She mutes her communications for a moment.] POTPOURRI. Record all this... I have a feeling I'll need to review it, send it to the Professor, or both. [At the AI's nod, she opened the line again.]

[Kamille performs a feint, closing in, drawing his beam saber before suddenly unloading with some shots with his beam rifle. What would she do now...]

(Seiren moves in a blur of speed and dodges to the side of Kamille and uses her Guitar Rod as a staff and swings at Kamille's back.)

[Kamille's quick to parry, his beam saber blocking the guitar staff while he shoots at her exposed midsection with his beam rifle!]

(The second that Kamille is about to fire the rifle, Seiren suddenly vanishes. He soon hears the sound of a guitar behind him and when he turns he is met with a flurry of energy arrows flying at him.)

[There (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTHn9GmTgSk)! The moment he was waiting for! The second Seiren vanished, Kamille was already turning, firing during the turn at Seiren's position before dashing out of the way!]

(Seiren is slightly caught of guard by this but all she does is move a finger across the Guitar Rod and an energy shield pops up at the last second, blocking the beam.)

...You move well...

[She's not going to make this easy. Good. He's already made his next move, flinging his beam saber out and shooting at the spinning ring of death it creates to shave off the beam shots and shoot waves of energy at Seiren.]

(Seiren disappears once more but something is different about this one. Before Kamille even gets the chance to move, Seiren is behind him in mid swing aiming for his shoulder.)

[The problem with missing in midswing is you have nothing to catch your momentum. Kamille was already moving away the moment seiren moved in for her swing, switching to waverider form to get some distance between them before turning around and shooting her midtransformation!]

(Seiren once more counters the beam simply by moving a finger and that damned shield appears once more. She then summons the energy arrows once more and fires them at Kamille.)

[Kamille's moving away from Seiren, flying above the energy arrows, turning around and firing at Seiren from an awkward angle with his beam gun and beam rifle, only the beam rifle is hitting the Beam Saber from before instead, an attack from both in front and behind with the beam confuse!]

(Seiren dodges the first one but is caught by surprise by the second. She is able to dodge enough of it to prevent serious damage but it does manage to hit her still.)

That would be a hit for you then.

[Kamille's panting a bit. The turn he had done just now to hit the Beam saber was... intense.]

[Silently getting his beam saber back, moving into ready position once more. Your call, Sora.]

[Sora's been watching with her mic muted.] Such power... this isn't just an escalated dispute anymore. There's bad blood here, and I think it might be my fault. I just had to open my mouth to Kamille... oh! [And there's the hit. Guess I'd better keep this moving...]

Point, Kamille. [Sora grimaces as the two return to ready stances. There's no possible way this can end well.] Next round... go!

(Seiren looks hard at Kamille for a second.)

Bidan do you know how reactions work? First the brain processes that something has happened and sends a message to the body. Then the body react. Do you know what that means? It means that even if you know it is going to happen...

(Seiren disappears again and immediately Kamille can feel three strikes coming as him almost simultaneously. A swing to his left, a thrust to his midsection, and a slash from behind him to his right.)

[Kamille was damn lucky that at that moment, Seiren forgot about another dimention of movement, that and that the reactors powering his mobile suit were positioned in his legs. Pushing thrusters to max, Kamille more or less jumped away from the barrage of blows.]

[Kamille was pushing himself with this battle, but he was also pushing the limits of his mobile suit. This woman, whom he was fighting at this moment, was pushing his battle capabilities to their utmost! For some reason, that made him... happy?]
That Rubber-girl's rubbing off on me...

(Kamille feels another swing come and easily avoids it but then he sees the true attack. He is now in the middle of a sphere of energy arrows, all firing. All point blank.)

[Kamille couldn't help but laugh at this upset. It was a setup from the get go.]

[Respecting] Well played, Kurokawa. It seems you're very much deserving of the title ace...

[Thrown around in his cockpit a bit...]

(Seiren smirks a little.)

Thank you Bidan. You are rather good yourself. You are one of the first people able to keep up with me.

No Bidan. It isn't just one hit.

(To prove her point she fires another arrow at the ground there is a pause before it explodes.)

I'd say it would be at least two hits. Or maybe I should have them detonate in such a way that they give me more than two hits?

[As he gets into position for what was likely the last round, Kamille starts talking.] This next round will be tricky, but I'm just fine with that. Let's-! [Someone's approaching?]

[Out of nowhere, two lines stemming from Strike Harkens lash out, wrapping around one of the Desu Ellen and the Zeta Gundam's arms each. A few moments later, they're joined by the Desu Blanc, the angry face of Nanohana appearing on both of their screens]
