Simon, that's really you?

What do you mean, 5 years?

I've been gone for five years. Or... it has been for me. Nothing looks any different.

Not again!

This is starting to become a habit, you know.

Well... either way, welcome back Simon. Care to say what happened on your side? While you were gone?

Oh, well... we got back, and thanks to the supplies and stuff Rossiu learned here we turned the Tepplin into a city. Almost everyone quit living underground, and we have a huge city that looked like the good ones in the colonies.

But then Nia suddenly started talking about the Spiral threat level, and humanity being too dangerous, and overpopulated. Those things... the Mugan we called them, showed up, and I chased one of them to end up back here.

You know, when people go out somewhere and return much older because weird time flux crap? It happened already.

Anyway, you gotta let your people know you're alive at least! Is there a way to go back?

I don't know. I followed the Mugann here, and as far as I know, Teplin is the only way to and from. Unless you guys developed some kind of dimensional transporty thing.

Dimensional transport? I'm an engineer, not a sci-fi writer.

Though... don't those Kairos Aspida people have something like that? Ayame should know.

I suppose that's possible. I'll have to ask since... by what you're telling me... a week here is like a year there...

A week here... woah? We gotta move fast then!

Or was that just a one-time thing? I really hope it is.

Well, five weeks, five years.

I don't think Tepplin was a one-time thing, but I'm here and it's there... One of those things would have to open up a way back.

[Samus looks at him for a couple seconds. Then she speaks without missing a beat.]

There is a time differential between your universe and this one. Only a month has passed here.

[Yeah, let's just say Samus has more than enough experience with space wedgies to not even be fazed by what's going on here]

Really? Wow... imagine if I'd really been gone for five years. Only a month huh?

I would expect the entire conflict would be over one way or the other in such a case.

For us, another conflict just started.

The Mugann. They're the Anti-Spiral forces... because supposedly it wasn't meant for humanity to prosper beyond a certain point without them becoming a huge threat.

Yeah... But fear of what. Nothing has really been explained aside from getting the warning in the first place...

That is not really important. In fear they turn themselves into unlive beings, and this fear poisons their souls. Following such thoughts, true as they may be, is an error that leads to nothingness.

It's been five years. You didn't expect me to not grow up, did you?

Well it almost only seemed like a couple weeks ago that you were gone so...yes?

That's what I've been hearing, but it's been years for me. We built a whole city and everything.

Wow...did you ever figure out what he meant about the Moon?

[because of course Loran is worried about that still]

No... unfortunately we didn't have anything that could get to our moon to find out, but... I *think* it was more related to our moon, and not yours.

I'm kind of worried no matter who's moon it is.
Last time something related to the moon was happening, that Lunar Sanctuary appeared.

Whatever it is, I don't think there's a whole lot of avoiding it at this point. At least until we can get to my moon and find out what it is, or isn't.

Suppose so.

Matthew disembarks from his Nova, throwing off his helmet as he walks forward to stares at Simon.

"You have gotten..."

He looks you up and down. "...some very nice clothes since I last saw you." He elects to say at last, smiling.

You think so? They're kind of constricting, but, it's best that I really, you know, wear more than I used to... being the founder of a city and all.

"You founded a city in...only five years?"

Color Matthew impressed.

"What sort of events happened during your time in that alternate Earth? It has only been a month on our end, but it looks like time passed much faster for you..."

Matthew's smile falters as another question occurs to him.

"And what happened to Nia?" He asks.

[[Simon begins to explain taht all the knowledge and techno-stuff they took with them helped turn Tepplin into the center of a huge city, and that grew outward. People came up from living underground, and everything was great; no beastmen, no constant fighting, just good times and prosperity.

Then shortly after he'd proposed to Nia (marriage), and she'd finally understood and accepted, she suddenly flipped out and got all Anti-Spiral Evil on them, to which Simon doesn't believe it's her fault, rather, she's being used by the Anti-Spiral as a measure of despair.]]

"Despair? That is the word the Anti-Spiral used?"

Matthew grimaces and chews on that for a moment. Then his eyes firm.

"Not likely, quiaff? We will stop them and rescue Nia...rescue both of our earths from them!"

He frowns. "Is Rossiu staying on the other side to fight them there?"

I think so. I rushed off on my own when he was telling me not to. So hopefully they're doing alright back there.

I traded them for a more flexible pair. That and they'd gotten a bit small, you know?

[Yuu simply chuckles.]

So, the boy evolves and becomes a man. Now you've got a body that matches your spirit.

You're still making that girl of yours happy, right?

I was for a while... but she's not quite... herself right now.
