Operation Five
[1] [Cora & Dice (red)]
.
[Given the damage that's been done to the Chalice, the Dullahan Crew's been hard at work trying to assist. Members of the team are either ferrying materials for repairs to and fro the ship in their suits - or in Dice's case - welding things into place for temporary fixes until someone who actually can do a better job arrives.]
Hey Dice! You think you welded it on right?

Positive! Some duct tape wouldn't hurt though...
Seriously? Duct tape? On a hull breach?
Hey, you weren't complaining when I used it to keep those bandages and that splint in place in Africa! And remember when that sub we were riding in on the way back home got busted open?
.... Touche Dice. Touche.
[Discuss their field repairs?]
[2] [Mongrel (Khaki), Dozer (green) & Scythe (violet)]

.
Oh god no... WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SODS DOING?!
We're getting stuff done better! I figured if we can move around a few walls and get hull to more important places - it'd be all good!
WHAT THE BLOODY HELL DOES MONGREL'S FLAMETHROWER HAVE TO DO WITH IT?!
[It was at this point Mongrel and Dozer slowly looked at each other as the Half britannian sloooowly lowered his weapon of choice. Behind the pair who made MORE holes to fix OTHER holes were a few things on fire, knocked over or downright smashed.]
.... Welding?
We're gonna have to run now mash for brains...
Why-
[Both were cut off by an unintelligible scream from Scythe as she draws her rifle.]
...Oh.
[Cue Yakkity Sax as she chases the pair around screaming bloody murder.]
[3] [Chips (orange), Oxide (gold) & Dagger (Gray)]

.
Right. That's it for this lot. I'd say we did a good job.
When you say 'we' I get the feeling that it excludes someone...
[The Demolitions expert gives a wry look at the team's techie - who has at this moment plugged his computer to the Chalice's systems and was looking at the shared surveillence data as well as some systems readouts.]
..Mm? Sorry... what was that? I was kind of going over this data stream..
[Dagger just shakes his head at this. But it was to be expected. Chips was at his best working with computers anyway.]
Well, at least we got our job done...
Yeah... could you imagine how everyone else is doing?
[The three share a look... then look distinctly thankful that they ended up with each other.]
[Talk with the now loitering Dullahan members?]

I appreciate the help, even if it is just stopgaps... but just please keep a record of all of these patch jobs. I-if we were to go into space with even one unaccounted for... well...
[And now time to see how long Cora lasts. Whee.]
no subject
Yeah yeah... we've been keeping track. Don't get your knickers in a knot Idris.
no subject
I'm not. It's just I think everyone onboard would rather we play it safe than be sorry.
[Now to see what bitter retort Cora will give them for that.]
no subject
[Ouch.]
no subject
[Oh what's the point? Lynn just slumped down.]
... Can we just leave it at me not wanting to repeat history?
no subject
Yeah, that sounds good. The fact that you're actually trying to do some good actually helps. Right Ursa?
Dice! This is-
Deep breaths. Calm. Down.. Breath.
[This earned an agitated twitch and for a moment it looked like Cora was about to cold clock her squadmate. Then she followed his advice - albeit with much frustration and facepalmed.]
God... Alright.
no subject
W-well... you obviously were already taking care of keeping an account of the patch jobs so...
... I guess that means we're done here.
Dice... thank you.
[And once again, Lynn's going to abscond as quickly as she can like a terrified mouse in the presence of a murderous, godless, soulless, killer bear. She's not Stephen Colbert so she can't actually fight it, after all.]
2
"Put up your weapon, Scythe, lest the dew rust it! That is no way to treat your brothers in arms!"
...okay, backing up Dozer makes sense, but why is he defending Mongrel?
no subject
I- that... wait... what?
[Scythe was actually startled enough she lowered her gun. Mongrel and Dozer looked around from a corner veeeery carefully.]
The bloody hell?
no subject
"Yes!" Isaac affirms, eyes blazing. "It is in our comraderie that we are strong! We are like unto a fellowship...nay, a family! And families, though they squabble and quarrel, also forgive and cherish...and protect each other, as I do now!"
no subject
no subject
You hear that Mongrel- Buddy? We're all brothers here!
[Dozer hasa stupidly cheerful grin that gets a downright wary look from Mongrel - who is slowly backing away.]
... I don't know what the hell you two are on but-
GROUP HUG!
Oh no NONONONOONOONONO-FUUUUUUUUUUU-
[Mongrel is now struggling in a hug between Dozer and Appletree - for there was no likely way he would have done things himself really.]
no subject
"We should get up to some brotherly activities together." Isaac muses mid-hug. "A nice game of polo, or perhaps some high-spirited caber tossing..."
no subject
Its official. I've reached a new level of hell.
[Standing off to the side, Scythe was just going to cover her mouth as she let out a soft, girlish giggle at the situation the constantly scowling member of their team got himself into.]
1
[Oh look, the White Devil.]
no subject
[Cora gives Amuro a flirtatious wink and wave. Dice just rolls his eyes.]
Well if glue can keep a man's organs from piling out or keep air from venting into a vacuum, I'd like to see that.
... Dice. How much hearsay do you ACTUALLY know works?
.... Uuuuuh
no subject
[Is... Amuro responding in kind, or just being nice?]
And you'd be surprised. A lot of glue-like substances are used in the event of a breach for space colonies. The substance expands, covers the gap, and is elastic enough to withstand pressure differences.
no subject
Sounds pretty useful... why don't we get stuff like that?
[Cora just shook her head as she walked over to Amuro - looking back at her teammate with a wry smile.]
No offense Dice, but knowing everyone on the team... I'm not expecting responsible use of the stuff.
...Eeeeeeh.... Sounds legit.
no subject
[...Not that Amuro would trust this lot with it anyway, if he were those same bosses.]
Not that you'd be able to carry much around. The Dulluhans you pilot are more akin to heavy armour, aren't they?
no subject
That and supply lines to space can get really tricky...
[Cora shrugs at his next line.]
Yeah... heavy armor works right. We're mostly meant for tactical strikes and spearhead ops though. Nothing massive.
no subject
[Amuro is just staaaaaaring.]
no subject
But trust me. Just because me and my boys are smaller than your Mobile Suits on the field doesn't mean we don't have any bite. We're good at improvising.
no subject
Perhaps you could show me how one of them works. I bet it'd be interesting to see how both you and your machine performs.
no subject
[Dice promptly stage whispers with an eyeroll.]
Which everyone and their grandmother's second cousin's best friends would know about.
[Cora's just going to ignore that with a cheerful grin.]
But tell you what Mr Amuro Ray, you take me out for a nice dinner and I'll show you just how well I can preform in and out of my machine.
[At this Dice visibly blanches - looking like he has seen the face of death itself - mostly because of the expression Cora's face has taken.]
Oh dear sweet god in heaven. I think I may need a doctor.
no subject
One dinner, right? From what I understand, where we're heading has a few nice places on the coast.
no subject
[She chuckled softly and gave Amuro a light nudge - any innuendo she was putting across was merely all in jest... Probably.]
'Course if you mess it up I'll have to put you in an armlock for a while before I take up my end of the bargain... no offence.
no subject
[Certainly a lot better than trying to face Wendolo, that'd be for sure...]
Remember to dress for the occasion. I'm sure a lady like yourself has something better than combat fatigues.
no subject
[Cora suddenly had a rather unsure look. DOES she actually have something she could wear for a nice dinner out?]
I need to go check...
no subject
no subject
I'd like that a lot actually...
no subject
[Amuro turns on his feet, waving a small goodbye as he walks off.]
2
What're we runnin fer?
Re: 2
Look behind you and see for you damn self!
[Scythe was looking downright angry here, quite a difference from her usual quietness.]
I'M GONNA BLODDY MURDER YOU FUCKING SODS!!!
Re: 2
[[And why is she lumped in with their shenanigans now!? Damn squaddies!]]
no subject
Y'know. Fixing stuff... we figured we could use Mongrel's flamethrower to cut out a few walls we didn't need to fix the ones we lost!
[This seemed to earn further unintelligible screaming from the normally anxious sniper behind them.]
no subject
Ya did somethin' that stupid?!
[[What're the odds that Scythe barrels right into her?]]
no subject
[Honestly? Very high. There's a rather panicked yelp when Scythe slammed into Jo. It was quite painful to say the least. The sniper got an elbow to the gut. She'd roll away after the impact clutching herself in pain.]
Ngh....ow...
[It was at that moment Mongrel fled as far as possible. Dozer on the other hand...]
Oh balls...Jojo? Scythe? C'mon.. please don't tell me it REALLY hurts..
[The large man was rushing over to the pair looking EXTREMELY concerned.]
no subject
Nnngh... bloody 'ell!
