Did you know that June 6th is apparently the birthday of one certain Werter Wolf? He will be 22 this year. He's a pretty big celebrity, so make sure to bother him as much as possible!

No work at the lab today. If there's one day when I can afford to slack off, it's this.

Small company? Well, Zero decides not to take it as a commentary on her height and sits down nearby.

"What are you playing?"

A fantasy strategy video game. All those blue guys on the screen are my army - and if I make one mistake, they might die.

But that's not going to happen.

For a long few minutes, Oenone is silent as she watches it intently. Then she points to an important, uncovered choke point.

"You'll want to draw them into that with a couple skirmishers."

It seems commanding Stalkers has given her some head for strategy.

Multi-tasking is easier when there's more than one of you, huh?

She nods and smiles. This is so much easier to do when it's just ones and zeros.

"Quite a bit. Here they come...Maybe drop a nav beacon at the end of the valley and fade the skirmishers back when their vanguard passes it?"

A classic Storm strategy. Used to dealing with unstoppable juggernauts, they're adept at ambushes.

This game doesn't exactly have anything like nav beacons - fantasy, remember? But I get the principle.

[And the enemies easily fall prey to the trap. The fact that it's just an AI and not a living opponent helps, too.]

"Ah a nav...glyph?" Little Miss Science has never been introduced to the fantasy genre. "Ah, we got them!" She peers quizically at the minimap. "Where are their supply lines?"

There aren't any per se. It's just a video game after all, not a realistic simulator.
