[[LIKE HELL her fight with Kei was going to keep her down! Screw that! She was going to be all the giggles and fun times she wanted to be!

It wasn't her fault the ship was full of stuck-ups and people won't don't know how to just have fun and live life!

So, you know what she's going to do to cheer herself up, in addition to proving that she's not a total bimbo. She has PHYSICAL skills too...

So, in the aubretum, Lilly is doing her thing to a little diddy like this

[Laura's just here to water the flowers and then spend a little time enjoying the peace of the arboretum, so Lilly's presence is a confusing surprise and and her music is an unwelcome one. Confusion is the reaction winning the battle for her expression at the moment. She doesn't want to stare, but she doesn't want to interrupt either, which simply going about her work surely would... so she's standing near the entrance off to the side of where Lilly's dancing, watching curiously, which is a totally different thing to staring.]

[[In her mind, when she's doing things like this, it's rude NOT to stare. She's doing things that get attention, and if nobody's looking when they're around... totally rude! But, eventually she'll get through the routine-slash-song, so when that's all done, she'll spot her BFF (read: only female friend that she can probably CALL a friend), and trot over.]]

Hello, Lilly. I wasn't expecting to find anyone here. Or playing music.

Well... everyone in the hanger keeps getting mad or distracted... and they get mad.

The gym is like... totally a bore too. This is the closest thing to outside I can get! It's not a problem, like, is it?

Well, a few people come here for some peace and quiet. What about the deck? That might be a better place for it.

You're very good at it, though.

[Not that Laura can really judge, but she at least knows she'd trip over her own feet attempting anything like Lilly's routine.]

Oh... uhm... I didn't think of that but... I don't think I can hear the stereo out there, with like the wind blowing and all that.

Oh, it's not THAT hard! The stuff I'm really good at is the bending and stretching! I used to be a gymnast!

But you were doing it in time to the music! I'd get completely lost if I tried to keep up with that, even if I could do any of the poses on their own. ...Which I couldn't.

Isn't it difficult to do all that with so much hair, though?

Not at all! Heck, I think of my hair as part of the show. Cuz, you know... I just don't see a lot of girls with hair like mine. At least not my age anyway!

It's totally easy! Like, you learn it all in little parts, simple stuff to start, and the hard stuff is just the easy stuff with an extra step or bounce or turn. I was captain of the squad in my first year! But like I said, I was a gymnast before... But I couldn't be on the school gymnastics team cuz of these. [[Insert self-grope here.]] Oww... I forgot they'd gotten bigger...

[Laura colours slightly and breaks eye contact.] I think maybe it's a little easier if you've been doing it for a long time. But it helps you pilot, right? So you're still getting lots of use out of it.

Yeah! I'm glad too! I don't think I'd have taken the job if I couldn't.

[Good, it was a weird enough experience for Laura that she wouldn't want to have to repeat it too soon.]

That's... generous, but I don't think I'm cut out for it. I'd be too embarrassed. And any coordination I've got, I should probably be using on combat training rather than dancing.

[Besides, cheerleader outfits aren't a thing for either Lily or Dita.]

Awwwwh! Are you sure? I'd be fun to do it with someone else too. [[Geez, in this line of threads, 'do it' could imply so much more. But, this is her BFF so, she's just looking to have fun with the only person she can.]

It might even help with your fighting and stuff! Being all flexible and agile can help you dodge and stuff! But, if you really really don't want to...

Well... it might be fun to try... [And come on, Laura. You're not going to become one of those girls just because you try it. And it'll be something to talk to Haruka and Miki about, too!]

I don't have a lot of free time where I'm not pretty worn out from training, though. So you'd need to go easy on me.

Well, then, take a day off your regular training and dedicate it to learning! I mean, if you pick up on it, it'll be good for like, moving around and stuff, right?

Would a day really be enough? I mean, I should be able to find the time, I just assumed...

Well, a day would be enough to see if you enjoy it or not!

Well... okay. I'll see when I can get the time. It'd have to be somewhere with some privacy, though. I'd be mortified if anyone else saw me at it before I can be sure I won't make a fool of myself.
