Founding Day

"To friends, comrades and fellow warriors: It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in celebration of our Founding Day."
Everyone on the White Chalice would have received the invitation signed off by both Ranna and Resnick. A brief itenary has been included.

The day begins at the promenade, where both old and newly-inducted (from the Jade Falcons after the battle against the Invaders) Wolf warriors have gathered wearing Clan Wolf's dress uniform. Ranna and Resnick are at the front as a message is played:
"To all citizens of the Inner Sphere do I, Aleksandr Kerensky, send greetings.
Know that I have taken the remnant of the Star League Defense Force which has remained true to its purpose beyond the boundaries of the Inner Sphere, beyond the Periphery. I have done this, neither out of disappointment with those whom we leave behind, nor out of spite or disdain, as some will say. No, we have left the Inner Sphere because we love it too much to see it destroyed. In the wake of the Usurper's coup, and the long, bitter fighting that came with it, I fear that my forces would do incalculable, possibly irreparable, harm to our society. We are sworn to ward the Star League and its subjects, not destroy it.
Thus, we have left the only homes we have ever known to place the destructive capability of this armada beyond the reach of those who would use it, not for defense, but for conquest. Perhaps, with the might of our 'Mechs and ships out of reach, the leaders who now grapple with one another will relinquish their dreams of subjugating their neighbors and learn to live in peace with them.
Perhaps, one day, should mankind step back from the brink of the abyss, we, our children, or our children's children will return, to once more serve and protect and guide the Star League in mankind's quest for the stars.
Farewell."
When the message ends, all the present clanners bow their head and utter reverently, "Seyla." They then begin to mingle, share stories and socialise with each other and whoever is present.

Lunch at the mess hall is definitely more lively than usual - Food has been prepared and arranged on the tables buffet-style. Both clanners and non-clanners have contributed to the pallet available. There are rumors that Resnick himself was responsible for one of the dishes.

A flyby!... By a Jumpship. The deck is bustling with activities as a temporarily installed large screen shows the 300m-long Jumpship that had carried Ranna here, Keen Eye, doing a high speed burn near Earth orbit, its pletora of lasers lighting up the space around it (and pointed away from the planet, of course). The feed must have been taken by one of the aerospace fighters.
Drinks are served, both alcoholic and not. The mood is jovial under the night sky.
