Hayato wasn't really angry. If anything, he was in a good mood. Sure, they had failed to capture the dragon, but they had kept it out of Invader hands as well, and losses had been absurdly low. However, part of him had been building up to the idea that after today this whole thing would be over. It wasn't, and so Hayato found himself filled with impatient, nervous energy.

He was taking it out in the gym on a punching bag. Each punch was so fast it was hard to follow with the naked eye. After a while, a particularly strong punch actually tore a hole in the bag, spilling sand all over the floor. Hayato stopped, and just stared at his hand for a while, opening and closing his hand into a fist while thinking.

Oh, it's you. The Tower is less a place to live than it is a mobile factory. We don't really have a lot of amenities of comfortable living.

Mira had been in one corner quietly working with weights when he had come in. Seeing the sand fall she bit her lip to keep from commenting, though she did grab one of the water bottles she had brought, walking over holding it out for him.

It should have ended there, one way or the other. The truth of the matter is no one really understands exactly what it was Saotome did when he invented the Dragon.

I wish I could say he did. Even when he was human, he was more of the type to try something to see what would happen without considering the consequences.

[Samus had been practicing some katas herself. She was not using the sandbags, though - simply practicing the forms on air. It's a strange style, full of sudden and sharp movements.

However, she turns her head when Hayato pierces the bag. After a momentary look, and without a word, the bounty hunter grabs another one from nearby and tosses it overhand so it lands near him. She's already noticed the bags here are pitifully fragile. It's why she doesn't use them anymore. So she's passing Hayato a new one to continue]

He grunted under the weight as he caught it, but went ahead and took down the old one to replace with the new one. He seemed reluctant to keep going, though.
