First Note | The Ace Appears

[1]
(You here a mecha landing in the hangar and decide to investigate. You soon see a new mecha, specifically a new Desu unit in the hangar. However this Desu unit is quite different from the Claimer class units. The cockpit opens to reveal a woman in her late 20s. She jumps down with unusual grace and ease before turning to see you.)

My name is Seiren Kurokawa, pilot of the Desu Ellen. I would like to speak to the one in charge.

[2]
(Seiren is walking around the Chalice. She isn't looking for anything in particular, she is just trying to get familiar with the lay out of the Chalice. Bother?)

['This woman is all business, isn't she.']

The general who managed to get onboard, Lucas, used a robot that comprised itself entirely of Funnels, including its cockpit. He was able to get through by swarming towards the ship, hiding himself amongst a sea of funnels.

Jeremy Gatsby is the one I'm least familiar with, but he fights using weaponized barriers, or so the reports say. You'll have to ask around about him.

DR RGNK is, quite frankly, the most dangerous one. His robot is more or less a giant soundspeaker protected by a massive barrier, and he uses music to influence people's minds.

Yolanda, the one leading the attack from outside, fights using what I believe to be the most normal unit in the bunch, as it's only outlandish feature is its teleportation. It has a barrier, a pair of giant swords, and a devestating beam cannon in its chest.

Anything else?

['Is she for real?'] You know what? I need to know something, Kurokawa: Why are you here? All Sora told me is that you were the best Desu-pilot outside of Professor Himesaki, so what do you have to contribute to this outside of that? Are you here as an observer? To act as a tutor to our novice pilot Nanohana? How are you supposed to help us get our friends back?

['So this is who you really are? ... pathetic']

I see... Then you're essentially superflous in all cases. [what.] This plan has been in the works long before your presence aboard this ship, so anything you can contribute to the cause is simply semantics in both short- and long- term. Your only possible emotional connections to us are the two PreDesus onboard and the one currently captured, of the ones onboard, only one of them you actually know on a personal level. Your title of Ace is meaningless to me: it doesn't make you anymore important than the rest of us on this ship, nor does your experience in rescue operations.

[His own eyes are seem to be on fire. You may also be feeling the spectre of a headache forming.] I've heard you were a perfectionist, but if you go in fighting Adventus with a swelled head, thinking that little flash-step of yours is going to keep you safe, think again. You can and WILL be shot down for those types of heroics, and if you refuse to tone it down with that ego of yours, I'll be more than happy to show you how easily it can be done.

['Like this woman knows what anger is.']

I agree, Kurokawa. Let me show you why you're title of ace is meaningless!
