Third Limit - The destined post/COUSTWELL'S FIRST TEST FLIGHT!

[Tohya has managed to convince Katia that he needs to practice with Coustwell. Festenia gets on his nerves and Melua is still in the infirmary and so far as he can tell he needs one of them with him in the cockpit in order to use the machine at all. He WAS flying around and testing things out earlier but now he is standing on the deck of the ship staring at the machine.]

So until I figure out how to reprogram this thing to allow me to do more things with the crystal... I'm limited to shooting glittery crystalline fists and feet, sparkling punches and a giant crystalline face palm.

Who designed this thing?! And why is it purple!

[He will not deign the thought that its pink, it's close enough to purple and it threatens his masculinity enough already.]

((OOC: Feel free to contact him during the test flight or in response to his ranting. He wasn't really doing anything actually combat related, just testing out what the thing can do on a basic level in a situation where he wasn't fighting for his life.))

[[Someone on the Exodus has mistaken this as one of the new robots going on a rampage. So, as usual, its up to Yapon's Overman to quell the situation.

Heading out with King Gainer, Gainer is quick to meet up with the Coustwell. Fortunately Gainer knows how to ask question before opening fire.]]

Hey! Who's in there? Is that Tohya, or Calvina?

[identity profile] turningyaponese.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
I was going to ask you that! People are freaking out thinking your robot's going out of control!

So, what're you actually doing?

[identity profile] guardian-lynx.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I'd offer to trade you, but I like standoff attacks too much. Clearly, these things are designed for particular roles.

[identity profile] guardian-lynx.livejournal.com 2011-07-25 03:50 am (UTC)(link)
Aesthetics are irrelevant to performance. Coustwell's a close-range assault-type, so get used to close range. Katia should be able to help you with the fine maneuvering.

It looks more pinkish to me.

A colonel. And YOU are the son of a travelling researcher who is now moving in on a ship full of professional soldiers.

Something perhaps worth keeping in mind.

What a manly-looking robot! Would you look at that sculpted chest.

And its pink color serves the function of smoothing out the rough machismo. Truly, this is a unit for someone who is strong and kind!
fermionprincess: (Ahah!)

[personal profile] fermionprincess 2011-07-29 07:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ohoho! I would never say a thing if I did not think so!

This is a machine that shows its message just by existing. Appearance on the battlefield is important, so that your opponent knows they face someone not to be trifled with!

Hmm. That pink color scheme may be trouble in the future.

[identity profile] vjockey.livejournal.com 2011-07-29 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
Bright colors like that usually draw a lot of attention on the battlefield.

A flash of color that's out of place in the combat area almost often has several shots taken at it without question. Its instinct.

If the color bugs you, why not just paint it?
saikyocivrobo: (didn't see that coming)

Buy from the Exodus? They seem to have many strange things.

... Still, you have flight, your machine wasn't stopped by Yassaba's time stopping powers, and those crystals open up quite a few options to you for how to fight... all without any weaponry.

I'd say it's not all bad. And it's good to see you're at least trying to get used to this.

[identity profile] aprimeanswer.livejournal.com 2011-07-31 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Now, this thing's interesting...but why is it pink? Isn't there some real paint around here, like some red, or gold, or even black?
