3 - In the Infirmary and Other Things

[Flynn is in the infirmary after his exertion during the previous mission. Despite everything, he actually doesn't have any major injuries. He was just dehydrated slightly and exhausted. He wakes up the next day, and spends it staring at the ceiling silently unless of course, someone were to come see him.]

[Posted to his personal journal, but still publicly accessible.]

Conor is an idiot. I always assumed he had thought everything through, it's what leaders should do.

This proved that he didn't. He was so sold on an instant fix that he was willing to throw his life away on a gamble. A gamble which would push the world even further from his dream.

I get it now, that's what it is, a dream. There is no way the world will become that within our lifetimes. It's not possible. And even if it was, it's unnatural.

But I don't know what to do now. So I'll stay here, and see more of the world today. Then I'll decide what to do.

Probably the latter.

The term elemental is a misnomer. Elementals don't really have anything to do with classic elements, they are simply beings made from nature by Baphomet.

Ahhh, I think I get you. So. this Baphomet taught you how to do it, or is it a natural skill.

You know, I hate to be bugging you with all the questions, but, I just want understand. I can answer what I can if you have any about mobile suits and the like.

Actually, I've got a better question... What happens to it all if it gets destroyed... or... is that possible?

The elemental? I can just form it again from whatever water is around. I guess technically it would be a different one but it would be functionally identical.

Ahh... Well, as long as it's not actually putting a waste to natural resources, I suppose it's... well... as long as you're safe, you can keep fighting, if that's what it came to.

[He nods.] It seems that way. It is strange though... I don't know why I am still blessed by Baphomet... I thought I couldn't summon Mayim because of that... It makes me wonder...

I have considered that. It also could be that the blessing cannot be taken away. Then there is... maybe I am still following Baphomet's will.
