The transmission managed to ruin Lucchini's good day, she wanted to go exploring, but hey, looks like she was going to be stuck in side.

Okay the behave warning was what was getting her. Lucchini always behaved! Just not by everyone's standards.

So what is she doing sneaking around... Couldn't be getting ready to cause some trouble could it? And why is she squirreling broken mecha parts into a corner?

"Well yeah I wanna help. Can't let you do all the heavy work on your own. Besides, who's the master mechanic around here." Ruffling her hair again. Stop being so cute, kid.

She grinned at him. "Well then guess you're helping, but don't tell Shirley what we're doing yet okay? I want to surprise her with it."

She handed over the device so he could look it over. And really Markus, you think she'd EVER be able to do that?

Maybe when she's like... in her 30's or something...

"Yeah yeah, I know how to keep a secret! I'm not a moron." Lesse this thingie here.

Uh... that's some contraption you got thar... How do you make it go... WHERE'S THE MANUAL?

There isn't one, at least as far as Lucchini's aware. "I know it works kind of like our communicators. But it has it's own power source. Still trying to figure out how she did that." She found a few pieces she thought might be useful in her little pile and put them to the side to see if she could fix them.

"Well, looks like we gotta reverse-engineer this one then. Screwdriver."

And suddenly, this is Trauma Center: Mechanic's Edition.

"Screwdriver." She hands it over, if she would have understood the reference she would have tugged his bandana down to be a makeshift surgical mask.

MarKus starts digging into the thing, carefully of course, cuz he's not really much of an electrician, but he can probably figure it out one way or another. So... peek peek...

Panel comes off... this part goes here... and this, "Looks like a battery here. Tiny-ass one... like a watch or somethin..." The ones that are a bit smaller than a quarter. "And here's another..."

"Watch batteries on something that big? It probably also helps the only people that use it are us, maybe my magic helps to boost their power somehow..."

"Well, they're all attached to somethin different. It's a bunch of em... Unless these aren't batteries.

Hey, gimme a break, I'm trying here. But... you could be onto something..."

"Didn't mean anything bad, I was musing out loud."

"I know. I'm not mad... just... well... It might be something magical involved. These look like watch batteries... hooked up to different things so... Could be that each battery powers a different thing. No central power system I'm guessing.

Wait... what was wrong with it in the first place... before I take it apart any more..."

"It's range isn't that great. I mean on the ground it's fine, but I can't use it that well flying"

"Why's that? Doesn't seem like it needs to be held still to work but...

Hmm... maybe we can do something about it's range at least..."

It does though, at least I've always used it like that
