[A chef knows how to work when there is little food. Many pieces of cuisine (and the "screwdriver" drink) come from the need of providing a person with nutrition, such as turning an unappetizing clam into a tasty chowder with potatoes, carrots, onion, celery, and cream.

So what happens in one particular day after the rationing crisis at the Chalice is over? One of the cook is filled with glee, and readies almost a buffet for the crew to snack on, welcoming anyone to help her in this endeavour.

[She searches over the table for a drink to sevre him: Black tea, caramel milk, a punch, red and white wine (some of which she used to cook)...] I think it was about time we had something like this. I would have waited for Christmas time, but much of the crew hasn't had a meal like this in weeks.
