A Soldier's Defeat
[After the last mission, Cheng has been utterly brutalized and battered. His machine was utterly totaled and to top it off this was all a consequence of a contract he made with Maya and had NOT utilized to its fullest extent. Many broken bones, with everything he had with him in the worst state imaginable. And this was merely the physical injuries.
He now knows that somewhere out there is a man with a grudge against his family, out to kill him for reasons unknown. And that by extension once he awakes, he would realize that for a lack of better term, he had done screwed up and nearly killed his comrades (Or a part of him, all the same anyway).
Truly at this point as he lies there in the Infirmary he is at his lowest point.]
[Visit him while he's unconcious? Or when he's awake, clutching at his head and struggling not to scream out in frustration and pain at everything that has happened.]

And what she was banking on turned out to be a complete mistake on her part. It was foolish of her.

You know I'm quite surprised that you even survived that.

[He gave Canon a flat and tired look.]
I assume you are here to say your piece.

[There's just a cold stare from her.]
It's quite interesting to see someone who yelled at me for talking negatively about his friend end up nearly killing his friends.

Then the most I could hope for is justice....
When is it happening then?

[Somehow she just had this look of disappointment.]
I don't understand you at all, you were a soldier yet you have terrible mental fortitude, you can't stay calm, and your skills both out of your machine and in it are lacking.

[Someone was there to visit Cheng when he was unconscious, because there's a card waiting for him when he wakes up. It's but a simple piece of paper, with the following written on it:]
BREAK THE BINDINGS OF YOUR PAST

[Cheng would press his palm to his face as he took a deep and ragged breath. His chest hurt a little as he did so, making him wince.]

[Cheng explains the situation a little. From him Accepting Maya's contract to agitating her from its disuse that finally led up to having another him proceed to royally wreck his shit and duke it out with the others]
