You know, I'm a little shocked. I know I'm a cold-yet-spicy, and I know my breath smells like alcohol and cigarettes, but here we are at a theme park, the perfect place for a date, and I've been going around it all my lonesome.

Come now, ladies, gentlemen. In this age, when's the next time you'll get to go on a theme park date?

-2 : Action-

[On a prior night, Loraine is in a tacky aquarium themed bar in Fairy Park, colors of blue and purple luvdiscs everywhere. A mermaid costumed beauty sits halfway out of a tank, mixing drinks. She's drinking some kind of red, blended drink. She seems ... thoughtful. Perhaps the liquor has put a downer on her mood tonight.]

This place is tacky as all get out, but... no one here seems to much for want.

[She stares over at a grand piano, which she considers desecrated by all of the decorations, making it look like a giant clam with black and white musical teeth.]

... I wonder if they need a pianist.

Germany, hmm? Your English is very good.

Do people get tired of hearing things like that?

[She wrapped a lavender neckerchief around her neck; it matched the lavender in the pinstripes of her iris colored blouse. She elected to wear a black slitted skirt with it. ... it was probably the first time almost anyone on the ship had seen her outside of a buttoned up white doctor's coat.]

[With her neckerchief on with a bow at the side of her neck, she finally started looking Werter up and doiwn]

And isn't Germany theoretically Britannia territory? I don't know.

Most German people know at least some English. Learn it and you can communicate in what, two thirds of the world? Doubly true for scientific communities, where it's prevalent in pretty much all fields. Not that I mind, the alternative would be Latin.

So, short version: yeah, it can get tiring at times. But it's better than constantly hearing "your English is very bad", so I don't really mind.

Well, to answer the question from before ... as I said, the closest I've ever been to a place like this is seeing them in films.

... I'm partial to a ferris wheel, though. Consider something I simply must do.

Indeed, if the movies we're talking about taught me anything, going to the ferris wheel on a theme park date is a must. As for me, the thing I'm looking forward to most is... The big roller coaster, I guess?

[She staggered a bit as she watched a few young teenagers run back into line crying 'let's do that again!']

High-speed acrobatic maneuvers give you an adrenaline rush - they're just exciting. And this... I think it was faster than that one time when Prometheus was flung over the ocean with a launch catapult.

In any case, yeah. At home, at such places you could usually buy French fries and sausage so fat you can hear your arteries screaming for help. Shall we look for that here too, or something closer to a normal dinner?

Sounds greasy, but. We should have something out of our ordinary. Which I suppose for now means no seafood.

... though I do like seafood.
