[Surprisingly for very few people actually familiar with Devon, her attitude regarding food rationing and obeying rules in general left her in a holding cell. She'll be there for a while - so if you're concerned about her feeling sad or lonely, by all means come visit!

Extra consideration: Devon's amplifier is gone so no Shifter shanenigans or summoning armor this time. At a first glance, she doesn't look too concerned about this, or pretty much anything at all. Too busy leaning against a wall opposite to the entry door.]

'Outside of society?' No. Even beasts and gods alike are subject to judging from others of society. How else would we know what the criminals are, or who to worship? Just because you are physically or morally 'better' than the rest of humanity doesn't make you above them.

And you're right, I don't have to listen to you, which is an interesting thing to say after telling me straight out that you don't want me to group you among the so-called beasts of society. You can't have it both ways.

Furthermore, I don't believe you for a second: yours isn' a lonely path, certainly not by default; you just keep pushing everyone else off of the path like a mindless animal so you can wallow in your own misery by yourself. It's pathetic, incredibly so.

Here's something that you may have missed, but not a single person on this ship can qualify as normal in society. I'm half of a Kamen Rider, and you call that normal? We've got aliens on this ship, and you call them normal? We have magical girls fighting military organizations, and you call that normal? You're not that special! On this ship, you're the same as the rest of us, abnormal in the eyes of the people. You're practically the definition of everything that is normal about us!

Others may have supernatural abilities, but they receive them from an outside source or were born with them.

To be a Shifter is something you had to work for, and there was no outside judge - only your own body. And as far as Shifters go, I am the last.
