Post-Mission (Not Beetles, Bees or Cockroaches. Just The Other.)

(Yoshika can be found sitting on a chair in the room she shares with Lynne, looking outside silently. While the Fuso native didn't take in as much of the poison gas that Ren had, she had been engulfed by a little bit of it when it was initially released so she was instructed to take it easy for a few days and not to work until she was fit for duty.

Inside, she was torn and upset with herself for one huge reason - at least in her eyes. Yoshika was positive that she had fired on humans during that battle! Misguided indeed, but that didn't change the fact she'd fired on them. Her expression clearly stated she wasn't happy, that she'd betrayed herself and her promise...)

15th Striker Unit | The More Things Change...

(During Yoshika's years in school prior to her being recruited for the Strike Witches, she made sure to know certain words even if she didn't know when they would be used. One of them was 'lull,' which was defined as 'A short period of calm.' During this particular lull, lots of changes were happening on the Chalice and she wasn't sure if she liked all of them.

One of the strangest changes had been happening to herself, as she'd gone back to see MarKus to get another round of tests done concerning her powers as well as how well her Striker Unit was doing. Those results were the same: the Striker ran fine, but she still couldn't fly or even hover well in it! It was the results of her own magic that had her worried. She hadn't even looked at them yet, but she was comforted by the fact that Lynne had gone with her during the tests.

Yoshika's currently in the kitchen, but as she's not on duty she's sitting at one of the tables with her results in hand. And she's not hungry but she hasn't eaten since getting the results which was only a couple of days ago.

Post-Mission Finale

Prompt A:
[It was the end of the battle. Things were going well, and talks were going to begin with the council of grandpa and grandma. You can catch the Super Vandread landing as it splits into its component machines. Go bother Laura and Dita?]

Prompt B:
[Once back on the Chalice, it's not long before the message goes up on the network that Dita, Laura and Lily are heading off ship for a few weeks. Anyone who wants to say goodbye in person won't have much trouble catching them alone or together with their baggage in tow en route to their transport.]

(ooc: joint post between Laura and Dita. Tags can come from both.)

Birthday Post | Sweet 16

1) Backdated to August 15th

(Yoshika's voice comes over the comms as well as a sudden video post, the girl not having used it or asked to use it in quite a long time. It is her first time appearing on screen, though. So she might be a little nervous.)

Uh, hi everyone! Master Sergeant Yoshika Miyafuji here. I-I didn't come onboard the White Chalice until a little later, but my birthday's coming up! It'll be on the 18th if any of my friends would like to prepare something. It's okay if you can't, but I just wanted every6one to know.

2) HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YOSHIKA~!

(Yoshika's confused - it's sometime early in the afternoon, and for the most she's taken care of her chores and hasn't found anyone. Has everyone taken sneaky lessons from Lucchini? She's arriving in the kitchen in a moment or two...)

13th Striker Unit | Her Final Sortie...?

(Sometime after the trip back in time and the Imagin running around the Chalice, Yoshika can be found up on the main deck, staring worriedly at her Striker Units which she'd taken from the hangar just for a while. On three different occasions during the sortie back in 1505, her Strikers had nearly given out on her and then...she'd pretty much pushed them to the limit when saving Sakamoto's life after her brilliant display of taking down the Neuroi.

She hadn't gotten around to telling the other Witches, but she would - she would! - tell them, once she'd figured out what was going on with her Striker. Or was it her? Were her powers vanishing? But her birthday was in a week! She hadn't even turned 16, and...was her time as a Witch really coming to an end?)

Strike Witches & Decade: Battleship Onigamusha THE PRESCREENING

1. [Open]

Dan: Sorry to bug you all but there's trouble. Our sensors have picked up a Neuroi heading for Megijima Island. It's uninhabited from what we can tell but we can't let a Neuroi slip by our fingers.

Shirley: You heard him girls, all Witches move out! I'll be coordinating efforts from here.

Dan: Also can we have about oh, 4 volunteers to go with them? I know these girls are tough but its a big Neuroi.

[Locked to the participants of said mission]

2.

So chasing down the Neuroi seems to be your main option. It's not in visual range yet, but it will be sooner or later. Banter away everyone, you have a moment to chat.

(ooc: prompt 2 is part of the mission itself and is meant for the lineup. Prompt 1 will be open to volunteers, prepwork etc.

Phase Eleven: Keep Calm and Drink Tea

1. (the hangar)

[After the chaos of the fight, the hangar crew are working overtime on cleanup duty. Laura's pitching in, flying around in The Great Pretender, righting fallen mechs and clearing heavy objects.

For now, though, she's in the open cockpit of the Knightpolice she's been working on in her own time for the last while, and which came through the confusion blessedly unscathed. There's one last finishing touch to cap off her modifications to it, and this is just the time to make it. There are some odd whistling noises, a fan whirring, and what looks like - no, it's not smoke, it's steam rising...

Laura sinks back into the pilot's seat, out of armour and so with her leg propped up in a cast, and takes a deep, satisfied drink from the mug with the 501st's insignia emblazoned on it.]

Ahhh... got the kettle working at least.

2. (the Arboretum)

[Even using the Pretender for all her activity, Laura's under doctor's orders not to push herself too hard, so she's sitting untransformed under a tree trying not to scratch at her leg in its cast. She's not exactly relaxed, though - tapping away at a tablet, it looks like whatever she's reading or writing is giving her some grief.]

They probably won't even recognize me. Maybe they'll just think it's a sick prank.

Eighth Shot | Correspondence

Dear mum,

I've had more time to write to you lately because of the orders the Major Sakamoto left for us after our last sortie. I think she just wanted us to have more rest after the liberation of Britannia from the Neuroi. I'm grateful for it, but I don't feel right having gone to only the more peaceful patrols and having taken only small roles. I know it's what you and Wilma would want for my safety above it all, but I think they're all still part of my team. Especially so with Yoshika having gone more often into these missions. I still want you to meet her, but if Wilma ever gets assigned to our ship, please tell her not to tease too much.

Please continue to write. It's a shame it's hard for us to get mail with the Chalice constantly moving, but every letter makes me really happy. Please tell me more about what's happened to Britannia. I've read people celebrated that day, and I've heard some rumors that the pubs have been more populated lately in spite of the things going around the planet.

I hope it is not too much of a problem, but I would appreciate it if you convinced dad not to invite me to “get shitfaced” “get pissed” “go drinking” the next time we come. I know it amuses Wilma, but I don't think I am a good drinker. Besides, I do not want to have the Major with us if she ever drin embarass her if it happens.

Take care of yourselves at home, and tell Wilma I miss her. I love you.

-Lynette

[
1) Later within the day, Lynette spends her time writing in the mess hall this very letter. However, she sees you approaching.]

I hope I don't bother you... But could you help me with a letter?

[
2) Later on, the letter is finished.]

Somebody catch it before I lose it!

[Problem is, the wind happened, and there's now an easily tired witch chasing a flying letter.]

3) Finally, at the end of the day, having spent more time on the letter than she thought, she decides to go napping. Alas, given it is a sleepy witch that had crossed over the sleeping hours, and without the proverbial cat (actually a doberman) in the house...]

12th Striker Unit

(Since her unexpected lottery win over the weekend, which sent her into one of her most shocking sorties yet, Yoshika hadn't spent much time talking, pretty deep in thought over what she'd experienced. Sure, she still made small talk to her friends and helped out in the kitchen during the weekend but other than that her smile wasn't 100% the same.

At the moment, the Fuso native was walking Kaze around the Chalice, ending up at the deck and sitting down next to the dog, silent while petting him at the same time.)

I think you're the luckiest member of the Chalice, Kaze. You'll never have to endure sorties or dangerous missions.

(Kaze whimpered softly, rubbing his nose against Yoshika's hand who moved it to pet the dog a few times.)

Oh look, there's a Lucchini kitten on the prowl.  Okay, she's bored and just looking for something to do.

Anyone willing to entertain her for a little bit?

An Aces Report

[1]
[You hear something from the hanger, what sounds like the sweetest string of expletives you ever heard. I mean there is come impressive swearing there. What you find is Mobius one kicking the convertible cosmo grasper.]
"*Sound of soft spoken anger*"
[She looks over to the almost repaired wyvern longingly...]
"*More sounds of soft spoken rage*"

[2]
[Mobius one is in the communications center, She waits until the ship is in the right point over the earth.]
"Come on, someone be home..."
[Care to help in communications?]

[3]
[You see her at the gym. She looks black and blue, Literally! From her neck down you see what looks like dye up and down her.]
"What? I'm trying to keep my mind off things."
[A bit more believable, as she does not seem to notice that she is multicolored.]
"What are you looking at?"
