Meanwhile, outside of the parties...

And while the rest of the Chalice celebrates in loud parties, in the Arboretum, Samus sits, crosslegged and with closed eyes, under the biggest tree. As she usually does, in fact - people may have already started to grow accustomed to seeing her there, really. One wonders when the hell this woman sleeps, given the amount of time she spends there.

She's not really one for parties, and she doesn't really understand this Christmas business (being raised by aliens from another dimension will do that). It seems to be some kind of thanks festival, but the details of it elude the mind of someone operating on Chozo logic, for now.

And so, she never saw a particular reason to participate in any of the festivities. She intends to simply spend the day with her thoughts. Much to think about, after all.

(I figured there would be people that preferred to chat a bit with the weirdo in the Arboretum, or variously chill out around, rather than go to the parties. Hence, here we are!)

The Man is sorry.

Please forgive my blunder in the last mission.
I have underestimated the enemy. Therefore, I will make up for my failure the next time...with double the mercilessness.

Also, I will have to keep low from the Federation as well.

Moderation? What's that?

1. [On day 4, Lily Rain decided to act. She's walking through the White Chalice's corridors, looking for any speakers playing that song. And when she finds one, she blasts it with a bazooka shot! Good she's using weak rounds for this, otherwise the walls could've be gone too.]

One more down! Don't worry, people of White Chalice, I will save you!
Strange that I destroyed so many and they didn't drop a single powerup, though.

2. [After Lily's rampage is stopped one way or another, she stands before the door to the ship's bridge. If it's open, she enters, if not, she talks to the intercom. Other people might be with her, too.]

I have to speak with the captain! Captain, please explain yourself! Why are you playing music that makes everyone fight and bicker?

[Calvina is currently ignoring the fancy new sounds the captain is providing and busily glaring at and focusing a camera on Bellzelute. The machine is currently lacking three limbs, a head, and most of its already minimal frontal armor. At least some of it was salvageable, but the mech is about as close to totaled as she'd ever seen something get while still staying functional.]

[Calvina keeps a camera from the hangar comm station trained on the mech while she makes a comment.]

And that is why you do not charge unknowns in a lightly armored high-mobility mech. It's only by the grace of our enemies leaving a lot of usable salvage that Bellzelute or Coustwell are going to fly any time in the next six months. This has been your training for this month, unless I decide to bring people along when I'm getting used to the third unit in this series.

[She switches the video feed to a filtered channel, speaking quietly under the noise of the techs dragging supplies from the transports aboard.]

[Filtered to Tohya]

Katia was about as vocal as usual about the people we fought, but between the physical similarities to our mechs and how scared the girls were when they saw the enemy, I think we've finally run across the people who created Bellzelute, Coustwell, and Granteed.

Second Trolling - backdated to October 31st

[A jack-o-lantern is wandering through the halls of White Chalice, something glowing inside and steam emerging from its lid. And by wandering, I mean running around like crazy, jumping on obstacles and people!]

First Instruction

[1 - Video]

I'll be giving a brief overview of how Midchildan magic and Devices work on the deck in 15 minutes. Anyone interested in learning how to use a Device, come on up - I'll have a stack of basic Devices you can try out.

[2 - Action]

[Sure enough, in 15 minutes Chrono can be found on the deck of the White Chalice with a stack of basic Devices, which will happily change into a staff form for anyone that wants to try, Fate having already shown up to help; he'll wait a bit for people to show before launching into a basic explanation.]

Some basics before we start: Midchildan magic is powered by the user's Linker Core. Everyone has a Linker Core, but some people have stronger Linker Cores than others, and like a muscle, it grows stronger with use and practice. Devices are designed to help channel the output from a mage's Linker Core, and give form to spells. As for how to use it... [He draws a training Device.] Set Up! [The staff extends to be about as tall as Chrono, with an obvious fancy end that probably does something special.] Now I can cast spells through this. A lot of Midchildan magic is trusting your instincts; you might be able to cast a spell or two just by feeling. I can help beyond that.

[Anyone willing to try their hand at magic?]]
[[OOC: Threadjacking encouraged. No, we're not trying to steal Tsukasa's thunder, I promise~]]

Caveman

[Kamina's sitting in the arboretum (he seems to spend most of his down time there.), holding the generic LJRP communicator that Dan gave him. He's been fiddling with it for a while, and just figured out how to turn it on.]

Oh hey, it lights up. Is it some kinda lamp or something?

[He peers at the main menu screen, then sighs.]

Why am I supposed to talk to people with this? I can ALREADY talk to people! This makes no damn sense.

First Wrecking Ball

[You probably think this is a pretty good-sized hallway here. You are also probably not a 20-some foot tall robot who is almost as wide as he is tall. You are also hopefully in no great hurry to get through said hallway, since there is a 20-some foot tall robot who is almost as wide as he is tall in your way. Looks like he slightly misjudged the size of the hallway, or, more accurately, his ability to squeeze through it.]

Um, hello? Could I get some help here? I think I'm kind of stuck.

[Kouji saw the recordings of the AllSpark mission! Ever since then, he has been lost in thought.]

[What about? Well.]

What if...

...what if Mazinger Z could transform into a plane?

I'd be able to fight in the air!

Presidential Mess

[Michael was regarding the dented, maimed and de-powered Wolf that was now getting worked on. He had his own share of bruises too but those were mostly dealt with. In fact the President was shirtless and all clothing above the waist was just bandages.]

Man. What a mess. Here I thought Wolf was plenty tough.

[The weapons he used were also getting a few tune ups here and there. Some circuitry on the shark Launchers was fried from the overcharge that ended with them firing Megalodons of all things at Starscream. The weapon pod that was torn off in the battle needed lots of readjustment and much fixing as did its contents. It was just mess all around there.]

[The president is sitting on a conveniently placed crate and leaning on his knee. Bother him?]
