[Today, if you're looking for Yui, you'll slowly find that she's...gone. Not in the library, not in the cafeteria, not brooding on the observation decks or the outside of the ship-she's just gone.

Her room has been torn apart, her furniture destroyed-with an obviously offending crowbar lying on the wrecked bed.

The table in the center of the room has ben left untouched, and has on it a small notecard, with writing in Yui's hand. It reads as follows.]

Going to join Kairos Aspada. Don't follow me.

Madeline-I'll miss you.
Signed, Yui Sendou.

[The Shard recovered from her mother-it's gone missing, as well. Investigate? Discuss it amongst yourselves?]

Ranna stares at the note, a long period of silence following before she lets out a soft sigh.

"This is not good."

[Mad's reaction is... not what you'd expect. She's crying yes, but not screaming, or breaking things in a rage. She merely looks around at the devastated room before looking back at the note after picking up the crowbar.]

I'm sorry...

"I supposed you have talked about this. quiaff?" Ranna asks quietly, glancing at the words on the note.

Yui didn't feel like she belonged here..

"And she felt that they are a better fit after exchanging words on the battlefield?"

"Huh. And there I thought there were others onboard this vessel other than you that were friendly to her, quiaff?"

Friendly is one thing...

She had other reasons for it...

[Mad seems... surprisingly firm on that all of a sudden.]

"Will the information have any bearings if we are to engage her in the future?"

Ranna asks straightforwardly.

No. It wouldn't really...

"Then it is not my place to push for it," the Wolf warrior nods, seemingly satisfied at the answer.

"What are your plans now?" She glances at the note.

Keep fighting, and hope that its going to be worth something in the end.

That's all I can hope to do right now anyway.

"And what are your estimation of the chances that we can turn her back?"

... I'd say it all depends on how well Kairos Aspida treats her. That's the only deciding factor.

"Have the Chalice mistreated her that badly?"

No... we haven't... but its what she thinks may happen to her.

Ranna looks perplexed.

"What may happen to her here?"

Matthew walks in.

He notices the notes.

"Perhaps...she is only pretending to defect so as to spy on Kairos Aspida?" He suggests. Given what he has observed of Yui Sendou, though...

...I wouldn't be surprised if its what it looks like though...

[Amuro had wondered what it was that actually kept the girl here in the first place, given her apparent thoughts on their methods. There is one thing he questions now though...]

...Why the furniture though?
