Lessee...I know it's been there for a while, but it totally got worse since I got up this morning and put my cute shoes on. Not cool. Maybe there was something in the pudding I ate yesterday...

...Naaaw, who am I kidding? Pudding's -always- great! In fact, I could do with some right now.

You would not by any chance have some sort of connection -even the most insignificant of ones- with this "Leviathan" that the Space Pirates summoned, would you have?

I've summoned Leviathans in some RPGs before, but that probably doesn't mean much.

Well, that's a name they gave to some other sea monsters too...

Indeed. The term "leviathan" has been used to apply to all sorts of aquatic monstrosities over the course of history, to the point there is no exact definition as to what one actually is!

Though I highly doubt that whatever the Space Pirate leader, this "Dark" Samus, summoned is aquatic in nature.

... Indeed fits their theme extremely well! Though to be fair, to date we've seen nothing aquatic in the slightest about the Space Pirates.

Yeah, they'd need those sails that the Crossbone guys were using on their ship at least.

The idea's the same though! Space and the ocean are Leanbox huge, and you need to cross 'em to get places.

And where people fly a lot? There'll be Sky Pirates!

Truly, you've taken to the idea of non-nautical pirates as well as a normal fish takes to water.

Has Planeptune had to deal with such dangers, or other kinds of pirates for that matter?

Oh yeah, we deal with a bunch of pirates all the time, so this could be from experience.

I'm talking about the kind of pirate that's the hardest to stop - software pirates!

I can only hope that, if and when the Internet as we know it is restored, preventative measures are taken to prevent it from happening again.

I mean, there isn't a single figurehead to point to, unlike in Gamindustri. As long as people work together, it'll work out!

Sometimes when we have dreams, there's this sensation that you're flying off somewhere far from where you really are. Other times, you're actually seeing yourself from outside your own body.

It's weird and kinda creepy, but it happens.

Don't think I know anyone that desperate to get rid of me though. I mean, I'm the main character, so they'd just be looking at a 'game over' screen if they did...

Do you mean to tell me you don't have any bad guys that would love to see a "Game Over, villain wins" screen?

Just 'Game Over' for me. What kinda badguy would love to see that? They don't even get any credit for it, so it's not worth jumping to another world over.

On the other hand...if the game keeps going, they'll get their spotlight, and everyone's happy!

Don't they even get any interesting special ending when it's the main villain that wins? That's kind of a ripoff.

Either way, your bad guys are more reasonable than most I know, really. I'm almost jealous.

None in this game, at least! There's a Normal, Good and True ending, but no Bad ones. To tell you the truth, I'm not even supposed to know who the main villain is at this point in the story.

Bad guys will always be bad guys though. They've been winning for years now, and my party's just been scheming to get rid of 'em. Almost makes us seem like the badguys instead.

Nothing bad with a little scheming from where I'm standing. After all, the trickster hero is also an archetype.

Hehe...I say scheming, but all we really do is just gather once in a while and have tea...

Anyway, putting that aside, Jerry said something about that Leviathan earlier, but I don't think that's it either.

Ah, yes, the Leviathan. That's quite the pickle, isn't it? I'd love to help, but I'm afraid we have some... external issues that stop me and Pit from helping with that.

Must be tough. It's fine though, right? Cool as it'd be to see you guys fighting that thing, it's the bounty hunter's canon. She might be having trouble now and has a scary personality to boot, but she's so badass that I can't -not- trust her.

Truth be told, I find her kind of offputting. I'm used to how both humans and gods think, but that hunter just seems to have very little in common with either.
