Picking a new name / Building a new life

1) In the hanger Adette stand with her hands on her hips admiring the new name and art on the side of her Nightmare Frame.

"Beautiful." She seemed quite pleased with it. Not just the art, but her air shows how much this means to her. Further solidifying her place here. Life has been a long and strange road to lead to this place, but Adette knew the greatest events of her life surly laid just around the corner.





2) If you're walking pass the kitchen the smell of food drifts through the air. Inside Adette has taken over every burner and flat surface with food. And apron over her blouse, and her hair pulled back, she sets dish after dish on the table. Hamburgers, Tuna Casserole, Meat Loaf, Macaroni and Cheese. Somewhere you can smell chili and corn bread, okra fries along side chicken fried steak. Some of them look positively delicious, others, like what Adette is calling Ambrosia Salad looks either alive, or undead.
All the while, she sips Tennessee Bourbon to get the feel right. Adette seems strangely full of joy, and her glow is apparent.

Biting into it you find it filled with jalapenos and cheese. It's very yummy, but spice! Whoooo!!

[Finishes with gusto, then grabs the nearest thing of bread to try and kill the heat in his mouth... THROUGH COMSUMPTION.

[After a few seconds of gawking stupidly, the Half-boiled Detective regains his control and flashes his best lady-killer smile!] The Jalapenos surprised me, and I'm normally not a fan of spicey foods, but it was good! Do you usually cook?

At this Adette nearly chokes on her drink, and drops her spoon into the chili.

After whipping the bourbon from her face, she tried to strighen herself out.

"It's just hot standing over all these pots and pans!" Adette half barks.

"Adette Kistler, I'm a pilot now it seems. But today, I'm the cook I guess. " She pulls up a bar stool for you and offers a glass of bourbon. "Pleasure to meet you. I hope your hungry!" Though a bit flustered she seems unable to stop smiling.

"I'm a woman aren't I? Of course I can cook. Here, come eat this, tell me what you think!" Adette set about heaping a plate full of food for him.
"I figured Micheal wouldn't be happy eating borscht forever, so I'm learning to cook American food for him."

Like that means anything to Gainer? He still doubts you... Well, he doubts everyone...

"Michael? You mean the President of Neo-America? Is that why he's been in our room so much?" Hey, he said 'our' and not 'my'. Improvement!

So then, he shall nom... and nom well. He's not spitting it out, but, he's not about to compliment you. So let the fact that he eats it all be a compliment. "What's wrong with borscht?"

"You mean you didn't know? About me and Micheal? I though his tie hanging from my bed post would have been enough." She laughed as he ate. Adette expected no compliments from Gainer, but it was nice to be having him actually speaking to her.

"I love borscht, but Grandma-ma said a way to a mans heart is through his stomach, so I thought I would try and make the kinds of food he might have grown up with. Comfort food, ya know?" Adette sipped her bourbon, nearly glowing.

"Maybe. It's from a show I watched as a child. Silly, yes, but Nightmare moon was said to come and devour children in their sleep. I found it both fitting, and punny. What better name could I come up with for a nightmare frame?"

"Well... You should probably give the whole thing a new paint job if you're going to rename it and shit like that. You basically just dropped the K and named it Luna... It's still not any different from the same old KMF..."

"You think I should? I didn't want to ask for anything, until I got a few more battles under my belt at least. You think they would let me put in for some upgrades? I'd love some beefier weaponry, or a shield maybe." Now this kid was onto something! He got her jokes, and wanted to better equip her. Adette put her arm around the kids shoulder, pulling him tightly.
"What kinds of goodies could you get your hands on for Big sister Adette? I'm open to suggestion my snipe* friend."


(* snipe is a military slang for mechanic or 'wrench monkey')
