Departure

[On White Chalice's deck, Lily's five friends from Angel Force are loading a stasis pod on board of their ship. Inside the pod, behind a big round glass, there is Lily Rain EVE, or rather what's left of her. Even though her whole body is badly damaged, most of her left side is missing and there is a huge hole in her chest, the expression on her face is almost serene.]


Lily... No... I can't believe this is happening...


All we can do at this point is take her back to Cosmic Ark... And hope it's not too late...

No. We can't. And I won't. [ Casshern approaches Lily's blackened husk. His hand reaches out for what hand she had left, closing around it. ]

Robots like her prove that life has a meaning. That life can be given meaning through sacrifice. But... she made me a promise. [ His hand squeezed hers. ] She said she was going to come back alive, and I still believe her.

I may be immortal, but... she was more alive than I ever was. And I think she still is. She's not the type to break a promise.

If Lily makes it through this... You will have to visit Cosmic Ark one day. See how a fully robotic society looks like.

She doesn't break a promise. I know she'll make it. She promised she'd live, and that she and the Ark will help me cure the Ruin.
