Settling In

[1]

There's Richard, lying down in a bed in the medical facility again. Has been a while, ever since the matter of stopping Saturn and its moons from destroying the world. Just as before, his body seems to have suffered no specific form of trauma, and yet... is damaged.
But since then, he has healed, and is waking up now, groggy, lightheaded, but seemingly, okay.
"So... how much did I miss? Did we win?" He asks whoever might be near.

[2]

"IDEIGI!" There's a loud scream in the hangar from a certain Britannian Engineer, who disappears in light as his knight-like machine, dramatic as it is tall, takes shape from a shimmering pillar. The machine slowly and assuredly rises to its feet, before stopping as it and its pilot seem to realise something.
"Can... someone open the door please? I'm gonna try and practice with this thing... see if I can control it better.

[3]

Perhaps you were curious, maybe you got the wrong room, or perhaps there's some other whole reason for why you're here, but it would appear that you've stumbled upon the tempoarily occupied room of one Richard Chevalier. There's not particularly much lying around, what with the young man lacking much in the way of possessions anyway, but he seems to be working on... something, as indicated by the soldering iron in his hands.

[Oh, right. They were supposed to actually be working, here.]

Using Ideigi tires you? How long can you last?

[This seems... familiar.]

Does it feel like your body's tired? Or like your mind's exhausted?

How much do you know about Ideigi, anyway?
emorangerpink: (taken aback)

A daydream? Did you have dreams about it before you found it?

...Have you had any since?

And it somehow told you how to use it - but nothing else?

Do you think you could find those ruins again? Even if you can't, there are a few people aboard you should probably have look you over.

Well, it sounds like either magic or ancient technology. Either way, it might have left some trace on you - implanted something, or altered your genes, or messed with your Linker - um, your magical energy. And we have at least one specialist in ancient magitech aboard, so it can't hurt, right?

[Laura positions herself out of the way of the swinging arms and watches his form.]

Have you much combat training aside from finding Ideigi?

There are a few groups you can learn from, then. The commander of the 501st, Major Sakamoto, is a swordswoman.

Not all of them, but yeah. They've had people based here since before I came aboard.

You're a fan?

Don't worry, they're used to people knowing them. So long as you don't ask where their pants are, you'll probably make a good first impression.

...Does Ideigi have parts that fit around your legs? Because that's why the Witches do it. It's not a secret technique for boosting magic power or anything.

Oh, really? What's it like? I assumed it was like a giant power suit - like my armour, really. Do you have a cockpit?

[Laura floats down to hover outside the... hatch?]

Well that doesn't look mechanical, anyway.

So it still does have some surprises for you...
