Settling In
[1]
There's Richard, lying down in a bed in the medical facility again. Has been a while, ever since the matter of stopping Saturn and its moons from destroying the world. Just as before, his body seems to have suffered no specific form of trauma, and yet... is damaged.
But since then, he has healed, and is waking up now, groggy, lightheaded, but seemingly, okay.
"So... how much did I miss? Did we win?" He asks whoever might be near.
[2]
"IDEIGI!" There's a loud scream in the hangar from a certain Britannian Engineer, who disappears in light as his knight-like machine, dramatic as it is tall, takes shape from a shimmering pillar. The machine slowly and assuredly rises to its feet, before stopping as it and its pilot seem to realise something.
"Can... someone open the door please? I'm gonna try and practice with this thing... see if I can control it better.
[3]
Perhaps you were curious, maybe you got the wrong room, or perhaps there's some other whole reason for why you're here, but it would appear that you've stumbled upon the tempoarily occupied room of one Richard Chevalier. There's not particularly much lying around, what with the young man lacking much in the way of possessions anyway, but he seems to be working on... something, as indicated by the soldering iron in his hands.

[Ideigi rears back its fist slightly, before beginning to glow.]
SOLAR PUNCH!
[It goes flying into the distant.]
Even... that, can be a little tiring.
no subject
Using Ideigi tires you? How long can you last?
[This seems... familiar.]
no subject
[He chuckles slightly.]
I think all the hotblood around last time might have helped.
no subject
How much do you know about Ideigi, anyway?
no subject
[He sighs a little, giving a yell of 'Paladin Sword!' as he summons the machine's massive blade.]
Ultimately, I don't much about this thing. Given its not a daydream anymore, all I really know is its name, its move, and the fact I found it in some ancient tomb or other under Calais. Which makes it pretty old, given how long people have settled there...
no subject
...Have you had any since?
no subject
[He trails off, before shaking his head - and funnily enough, that of the robot with it.]
Then I was back on the surface, just like that. So yeah, thought it was a daydream.
no subject
Do you think you could find those ruins again? Even if you can't, there are a few people aboard you should probably have look you over.
no subject
But what do you mean look me over? Like there'd be some kind of mark from Ideigi?
[And as he asks the question, the machine begins to swing its sword, its wielder clearly trying - and often failing - to bring it down without momentum carrying it straight into the ground.]
no subject
[Laura positions herself out of the way of the swinging arms and watches his form.]
Have you much combat training aside from finding Ideigi?
no subject
But I've only received minimal training from the military for defensive purposes. I'm only a mechanic after all - not a Knightmare pilot. Of course, the standard issue sidearm proved pretty useless on those rock monsters.

[The sword finds itself several metres wedged into the ground.]
no subject
You're a fan?
no subject
[Ideigi stumbles backwards as it finally frees its own sword, large of chunks of dirt being flung everywhere.]
I mean, even before I signed up to the Corps, I heard stories about them. Hell, they became icons of the Air Force, at least where I was.

Though that said, I've kinda wondered if Ideigi would be more powerful if I did the same. Not entirely sure though.
[...Wait, what?]

[A hole just opened in Ideigi's chest, leading right into the chamber.]
Oh.
no subject
Well that doesn't look mechanical, anyway.
So it still does have some surprises for you...
no subject
Would seem so... Flight maybe?
[...Nope, no response.]
