Week 1 Update

Current Weather: Sunny skies (of the potentially sunstroke causing and skin burning variety); dust storms

Hey everyone! Dan here. I know everyone’s been having fun out here in the, um, meteorite-littered desert, but we have a course heading now, since we had a bunch of guys ask us to help them out in east Asia. That Cross guy offerered us a lot of supplies, and he seems like a Hero of Justice, too! As for NERV, well...they’re just scary.

A-anyway, we’re going to be heading up to Alaska and bear straight across--

You mean Bering Strait, you infernal landlubbing contraption!

Right, cross the Bering Strait to get to Asia! It’s a lot safer than going all the way across the Pacific right now. I’m just letting everyone know this so you can enjoy the summer weather in California while you can! Siberia’s cold, even this time of year!

Must be tough for those of us who don't wear pants. How kosher are long coats for witches?

[A whimper not unlike that of a kitten. Loraine is right. It's going to be cold for those poor witches. Such is the cost of fanservice.]

W-We don't use coats as much. We are protected from low temperatures and momentum in the skies with our magic, but we can't always be using it because we could get tired faster.

I hope our magic protects us from those winters... [Sob.]

Just put on a coat. They're not hard to cast off.

I don't know if we can. We need to be as mobile as possible, and a coat is really hard to fly with. I hope there can something that could keep me warm along with my uniform.

Just take the coat off before you go into combat.

I just don't like the thought of getting rid of the coat completely, or carrying it mid-air. They're so expensive... The Major Sakamoto tells us to fly light, and only with weapons and munitions.
