[By some miracle Graham is awake! This fact is quite surprising considering the injuries he sustained (even the medic said "any normal man would have been dead or at least seriously injured to the point of permanent damage, is this guy made of steel or what?") he is sitting up in bed reading a novel while Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon plays softly in the background. But I bet he would love some visitors!]

"Technically the definition still applies, it's your number of kills, but, among us, it does have the added meaning of success and protecting others. But you're no good to anyone if your machine can't hold up to that level of protection."

"Well, some of it is, yes, but, I did come here with ulterior motives. You're not going to be able to become an Ace of any caliber, not with a wrecked machine."

He looks plenty damn serious here. "So you either need to raise the quality of your skills, or the quality of your machine. There is a machine in the hangar, a red one. It needs a little work, and a Solar Furnace, but it is a Gundam. It's currently lacking a pilot."

Statistics. Taking into account those who pilot mobile suits not of mysterious or unusual nature ((i.e. Supers but that's not a term he'd use ICly)), whose who already pilot Gundams themselves, there's but a small handful of people left who could stand to use something more advanced and efficient than what they have.

However, when you take those people into account, there are very few who are either deserving, or skilled enough to handle a Gundam.

Two, to be exact, yourself, and a pilot from Zeon; and I'm not about to make a man lose his job because he's given the chance to pilot something that caused the downfall of his nation, or, something in his commanding officer's colors.
