[For most people who are passing by in the Chalice's halls, one would be surprised to see that suddenly, one of the walls began to ripple as it became the color of quicksilver. Spreading out, it soon passed across the ships halls until finally, a young man stood there dressed in black and magenta. A magenta camera hung around his neck as well.]

[A few hours later, Tsukasa Kadoya is wandering the halls, taking pictures of everything in sight. Fortunately for his sake, he had a place to develop them, and a good supply of film as well. So he's in your grill, taking pictures without asking as in his wont.]

I spent a good deal of the last six years or so in space, so I can't say I've ever seen a Kamen Rider in person; just what was on television.

If you look outside at this lovely blasted wasteland, you'll see on your left, right, and all around you what most of the planet's land surface looks like right now.

That explains a lot. What happened here? I'm regretfully unaware of what actually happened.

Well, I was still very young when it actually happened, but it all started with an asteroid on an impact course with Earth. First people fought bitterly over how to deal with it, then the method they decided on only made things worse. The ensuing destruction and wars wiped out more than half of humanity, all told.

Hmm, so this world has suffered both a disaster and several wars. To think I'd have to find Riders in this world in a situation that so calls for them.

I really am. This is why I asked what happened here. If I were say from another time after this, then I'd know of this world's history.
