Unintended introduction
[It's a one-way video message that arrived from outside the White Chalice. What could it be about?
For some reason, the video shows a handsome and athletic man. He's only shown from the waist up but appears to be naked.]
Greetings, brave crew of the White Chalice! My name is Roger Dantoinne - I am the chief executive of Blackstone Arts, the most dignified electronics company. I only want you to know: please continue your actions being saviors of this world. You have my company's humble support. We will send supplies at the earliest opportunity. Let us remain friends in the struggle to survive these difficult days.
Oh, one more thing before I forget. We were generous enough to send an agent as assistance. She is not a member of my company - but please treat her kindly nevertheless. Devon can be rather difficult sometimes but I trust her unique skills will be a great help to our shared efforts!
[The message ends by showing a picture of Devon. Speak of the devil - she was in the middle of trying to sneak on board without too many people noticing. But now everyone knows who and where she is.]

Tch. Dantoinne, you bastard...
[Devon's frown mirrors the one shown in the video.]

But she can butt into their business, so she walks up and tries to catch the glimpse of the cover - see what Ryo is reading.]

Just a schoolbook. I'm reading it to keep up with my classmates.

[That sounds very familiar to Devon. Familiar - but somehow different.]

There's a few friends of mine who would never let it slide that the president of Tatsumiya Island's high school weaseled out of both his responsibilities as president and his schoolwork to go sightseeing. I can't very well talk with them halfway across the globe and discuss student affairs, but I can at least keep up on reading material.

[Devon couldn't care less about other peoples' failed expectations. She stands where she is rather than taking the seat.]
When will you see them again?

Trying to slip under the radar, slick?
Hell yeah
[Not a iota of agreeableness in Devon's voice. Asuka gets stared down - probably a bad move.]
And you are?
no subject
Someone who you'd better respect, unless you wanna get turned in.
no subject
[No respect in Devon's words so far, obviously.]

[Although having a terrible attitude doesn't help Devon with this goal. At all.]
Are you?

Society does not weigh him down.
[Pretty hostile voice, but not hostile enough for talking about someone who blackmails her into cooperation.]

You're the girl he sent, then?

[As far as lies go, this one is pretty obvious.]

Hmph. You will soon discover, I am no novice in this.

[Not as hateful as one would expect. Does Devon admire this quality?]

[Not to mention, someone would probably tell Devon to go visit the captain if she tried to board normally. And like hell she is going to do that.]
